Okay! Got the AMT Pacemaker Pete in today, and got the cab body chopped and glued to the Turnpiker cab so it is now stretched. I'll post pics here in a little while. Meanwhile, I have the remains of the cabs, and a friend of mine told me to do what he does, and make a day cab out of the 2 pieces... So here is my idea. Make a day cab out of the new kit, but instead of using the kit engine, add the engine that I bought from P&P Resin Works... A V-12 Detroit... Too Much?

Thanks Derick. I've had the same thoughts run through my head... Hmmm... pull out their fingernails, break their toes, make them watch Justin Bieber videos non-stop...

Thanks John. It's a cool kit to work on, and the photo-etched parts easy to work with. I haven't used much photo-etched parts in the past, but I need to start. They help the look of the model.

You look familiar as well. I am so sorry to hear about your back. I was lucky to not have had a more serious injury when I fell out of the truck during my heart attack (it was one of those add insult to injury days... or was it the other way around?). You may have a pinched nerve in your lower back. Let your doc know when you see him, or better yet, let him know now. Anywho... Keep the faith brother, there's hope at the end of the rainbow, there's light at the end of the tunnel (why are there so many metaphors out there, and none of them really help?)... any way, get better, we need to see some more of your work on models!!!

I've been looking for aftermarket parts for some of the projects I've had in mind, but finding the parts has become next to impossible. I looked through Sour Krauts, but 90% of the parts he has listed are sold out. Spaulding shipping and trading has really no parts at all, just kits, and P&P hasn't been doing much. I bought an engine from Chris, but his Ebay store is pretty much non exsistent...

Thanks Richard! The paint is dusty in the pics, and the lines are decals... I do appreciate the compliment!

Thanks David. It's a great kit, and I've had no serious issues with building it. The hearse in the background is a replacement of the pro street hearse I built. Some very rude and obnoxious people decided to break into my storage unit and borrow a few things without asking. In the process, they destroyed the original hearse I had, so I'm doing another, but with a new twist... SSSSTTTTRRRREEEETTTTCCCCHHHHIIIINNNNGGGG it! R.I.P.

Here's the engine with the dual 4's from the Starliner kit: When I get done with the Turnpiker Pete I plan to finish this one... I read somewhere that someone said the kit doesn't include the Batman/Robin figures, but they were in this kit. You have to assemble and paint them though...

I have been working on this build for awhile, but took a break on it. The photoetched parts are nice, and the parts are really well made. interesting tip... The intake manifolds from the AMT '60 Ford Starliner kit fits with no modifications whatsoever. So if you want to build the Batmobile engine with dual 4 barrels(which is what I did), or the three 2 barrel carbs, the manifolds fit perfectly! I made the rocket tubes out of aluminum tubing. The instructions have the measurements: The bats for the wheels are photo-etched as well More pics to come...

I went to the DMV today to get new plates... They don't say the "SHOW ME STATE" anymore. Now they say: "BILL DAVIS SHOWED US!!!" Love this build immensely!

Converting the Red Barron to the Black Knight

I agree with everyone else, leave the lights clear. This is a wicked awesome build, I'm loving it. When you get done, send me the plastic parts... With everything you've done in metal, I could probably still build the Baron kit! LOL!!! I am looking forward to seeing more! -
That is AWESOME!!! We need an update!

That is NICE Ben!!! I cant wait to see what the Pro Star will be like to assemble. Now I know I need to get this kit too! -
Thanks Ben! I won't be doing too much modifying of the Pro Star when it comes out. I'm planning to build a copy of the Last truck I drove. I might buy a second one and do some custom work on it... Maybe I'll make a copy of my avatar! LOL!!! Thanks Robert! This has been a fun build so far!!! I'm just waiting on getting the Pacemaker Pete so I can finish the cab...

Thanks Randy! Anyone is welcome to use any idea I come up with that they like. Here is a pic of the whole truck as it sits right now... I also made the steering poseable. I cut the cab, measured the length I plan to add, then taped it together to kinda get an idea of what it will look like. Thanks for looking.
