  1. Thanks Doug! I'm thinking of doing a blue and silver metallic paint scheme on it. I need to draw up a design for it though.
  2. That is awesome Les!!!!!!! I would love to build on like that.
  3. Thanks guys! I've been to truck shows and seen trucks with covers on the fifth wheels. When I started this, my mind went back to the memory of the covers. I'm waiting on the mail person to deliver the AMT 352 Pacemaker kit so I can stretch the cab.
  4. Working on this kit since I got it, I've stretched the frame, added a larger supercharger to the the Detroit 8V-71, customized the kit rear fenders, and getting ready to stretch the cab... Here is the stretched frame I added a larger blower to the engine I thought this design was not well thought out. You couldn't add a trailer unless you removed the fenders. So I filled in the hole where the fifth wheel came through, then cut out the hump... I added sheet plastic around the hole, so the fifth wheel "cover" could sit on the fenders when there wasn't a trailer attached, and then it could be removed when I added a trailer... Excuse the quality of the pics, I need to get another digital camera sometime. All I have is my phone to take photos with at this moment... Thanks for looking!
  5. Looks good. This will be a great truck when finished.
  6. Thanks Doug. I've started building it. I'll post some pics in the "On the bench" section. tomorrow.
  7. Looks good to me. I built one of those and then sold it on Evilbay for $50...
  8. You made the decals? Is there a chance you could make some for me?
  9. I've seen several Can Do kits on Evilbay lately, but they are expensive... I wish you good luck in your quest...
  10. I want to get one one of these days. It's the only 53' footer out there. All the others are 40' and 48'. I'm looking forward to seeing this one put together and reading your opinion about it and seeing if there's any pitfalls to watch for.
  11. I have too! The box wasn't sealed, but the parts inside were. I've already started building it. It has a supercharged Detroit, and a ton of custom parts. I'm thinking of stretching the frame on it. Enjoy yours! You got lucky!
  12. After 5 years of searching, I finally purchased the one kit I really wanted. The AMT Turnpiker Peterbilt Custom Cabover. I got it for $88.00 dollars on Evilbay.
  13. Thank you J.T.! I would've liked a darker purple and blue, but she wanted those colors. Hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving day.
