Thank you Monty, not much to it, I just took some Anitas acrylic metallic white craft paint took a small brush and brushed the letters they are recessed on this tailgate then I took a damp piece of old t-shirt and very lightly went over the top of the letters and removed the access, being careful not to pull it out of the recessed letter, I repeated this 3 times till I got the coverage I wanted I let it dry well between coats, then I went over it with the Ceramcoat semi-gloss acrylic urethane and also went over the tops of the letters with the damp cloth to remove the access and there you have it a nice and tidy tailgate with painted letters. I went to school with a kid that got killed when he was 16 he had a bad 55 chevy and hit a telephone pole at about 50 mph less than that and that 55 looked just as bad if not worse than that dodge but he was crushed by the engine it was actually driven back to the drivers seat. He had a closed casket funeral. My point is it would seem impossible to survive a crash of that magnitude judging by the looks of that dodge! ( just my opinion )
