  1. Well, I made a little more progress. I opened up the area for the rear windows and removed material from the back of the roof. I then flattened out the area at the bottom of the roof by the trunk and made a filler piece. I’m not unhappy but I keep thinking the height of the roof is not tall enough for a sedan... anyway here’s more pics. Thanks for looking!
  2. I started reshaping the rear wheelwells and I cut the roof off of the 330. This is definitely a project! Again, thanks for all the help & info. Any comments welcome!
  3. You’re absolutely right, thanks! I’m thinking about what Bill said bout using the roof from the Dodge 330...
  4. Thanks for all the additional info! I made a little progress today in that I sanded the vinyl top and the top moldings off. More to come...
  5. Thank you for all the additional info! I made a little progress today in that I sanded the vinyl top smooth, and got rid of the moldings for the top.
  6. Thanks for the pics! They will help out a lot. I wish I could’ve found a resin of it, but I’ll give it a shot. I can see I’ve got a lot of work to do on it! The hubcaps are going to be a project in themselves! At first, I thought it was red, but the pics do look like Hemi Orange now. I’m not sure how to scribe the rear doors...in the plastic or put a skin coat of bondo and scribe that? Thanks for the help, it’s greatly appreciated.
  7. Well, here’s the first steps of progress... The clips are separated and the 340 F/E is up against the 68 Dart body. I did some pencil markings... Not to bad
  8. Thanks!. I’ve got so many builds started, but this one I want to get done first! It’s the initial start getting that body going. But...one step at a time.
  9. Hey Guys, I wanted to share a new project that I’m starting. I’ve collected most of what I need to start. This is really a continuation of what I started when I did the evil truck from the movie “ Duel “ starring Dennis Weaver, who drove the red Valiant as he was chased by the truck. From what I’ve learned they were several Valiants used. One of which having the 318 V8, but the one he is supposed to be using is the slant 6 Valiant, explaining why its such a pooch. There’s a scene where he’s at the gas station and the attendant is checking under the hood and tells him his radiator hose is bad. I cant recall if they show the engine, but I don’t think so. I know this one’s been done before, but I just felt I needed it to complete the movie set. Plus, I saw it as another challenge to make a 4dr from the 2dr kits. At least I got the plate! Here’s some pics from the starting point. The Dodge 330 will provide the drivetrain. My plan is to use the front clip from the 71 340 and mate that to the 68 Dart. Here’s a pic of the truck.
  10. Awesome! I love the old SCCA cars! Win on Sunday, sell on Monday! When race cars looked like their street counterparts!
  11. Hey guys, I saw this post and had to add a few more... The Galaxie is a replica of my departments cars that they used in 1970.
  12. WOW! Great job! And, how true that many of them ended up like that
  13. Beautiful builds. A true legend, RIP David
  14. Beautiful! The 70’s were my favorite for NASCAR
  15. Awesome! One of my favorite cars & drivers!
  16. Great Job! Great color combo too!
  17. Thanks! Also, I like your mach. Looks exactly like my 72 that I restored years back!
  18. Awesome job! TD kits are way cool!
  19. Hey guys, here’s two bodies that I’m working on. One is the Vel Parnelli Jones mustang and the other is the Stone Woods and Cooke Swindler IV. The SWC decals I found at the DuPage Co show, so I had to do that one. An interesting thing though, I had trouble with both bodies which are the Bounty Hunter F/C models. I don’t know what the exact problem was, being either my material, definitely contaminates in the paint and or primer. Needless to say I stripped the Vel’s f/c which ruined the decals, and even with redoing it, pretty much same results. The SWC came out a little better but still not happy. Unfortunately I don’t have anymore decals or those bodies so I saved them as best I could. They’ll be curbside but I really wanted those for my funny car models.
  20. Just wanted to post pics of the two green monsters I’m working on. The Vette is the new 70 LT 1 / ZR 1 which I’m doing as the ZR 1 and the Shelby is the Revell yellow box art 69 GT500. Both done in their respective colors, Donnybrooke green and Black Jade w/gold stripes for the Shelby. The bodies are done and Ive started on the interior for the Vette, which is painted in saddle. I found the GT500 in a hobby store and had to do it in Black Jade green. At least I have a 69 Shelby in my collection now.
  21. Thanks! The only one finished is the BM Vette!
