  1. Thanks Dave. My main focus will be as accurate as I can make the body. So it’ll be a curbside.
  2. Hello everyone, I wanted to post some pics of my in progress Larry Shinoda 69 Boss 302. With the release of the Revell Boss 302, and seeing that it looked like a decent kit I thought I’d finally get the Shinoda Boss done. I dug up my articles that I had on his car and began collecting the parts. His Boss started life as an “R” code 428 Cobra Jet ram air, C6 automatic Mach 1. Painted in Pastel Gray with a black interior with factory A/C. His had a custom steering wheel that had the letters “LB” on the horn button, which stood for Larry’s Boss. I fabricated an automatic shifter handle and painted the rear spoiler supports chrome, as his was. The original rear spoiler sagged in the middle as it was too light. The rear window slats or louvers were also prototypes that differed from the final production ones. I removed the top and bottom supports but the side edges will have to stay, otherwise they’ll fall thru the window. I also managed to find some small FORD decals that he had at the edges of the rear spoiler. A nice surprise about the kit was upon checking the parts, they included the correct Mach 1 428 ram air shaker, ( which 69 Boss 302’s did not have the ram air option until 1970 )and the line to cut the hood open is scribed underneath. That solved the problem of finding a shaker. I decided on Racing White as it’s not as bright as Pure White. Ford Pastel Gray would be hard to match, but does sort of look like an off white. This will be a curbside, so I’ll finish it soon! I’ve go so many started and in progress stages. Hope you all like it.
  3. Your Bullitt Mustang looks awesome. Probably my favorite all time car movie!
  4. Hey Guys, I wanted to add an update to the Duel Valiant I’ve been working on. The body’s just about done, I had a tough time trying to replicate the hubcaps, so I just added the 68 Dart caps for now. I’d actually filled in the first set I tried, smoothed them out but I couldn’t get the 9 holes around the center right. I know its far from perfect, but I was happy enough with the body in that it actually looks like a Valiant. Thanks for looking. I’m using the slant 6 drivetrain from the 330 Dodge. Thanks for looking
  5. HA! I knew you’d build it! Looks awesome!
  6. UPDATE: Well, I painted the body today and it looks decent. I’ve spent the last 2 weeks working on it and there were certainly plenty of challenges! My plan was to get it painted this weekend as I’d set the time aside to finish it, which I almost didn’t. Due to the next few weeks being hectic I really wanted to get it in paint. It’s far from perfect, but it will be the piece needed to go with the truck! Thanks for looking
  7. Hey Dom, that’s going to be another killer BM Chevelle!
  8. That is cool! BTW one of your original 1/18 sets is on eBay !
  9. Well, I’ve been working on this all weekend. Here’s the update on the bodywork for today. It’s progressing along well, there’s still a lot of sanding to do, but so far I’m happy with it. Just wanted to share a pic. Thanks!
  10. That thing is killer. It’s inspired me to do one like yours, as I love the BM cars. I collected most of what I’ll need, and hopefully it’ll be a decent shelf model...I hope. Your’s will be a true replica. Can’t wait to see it finished!
  11. Here’s some updates on the body and a test coat of the color.
  12. Thanks! I trying to avoid removing the top!
  13. Here’s an after shot of the roofline opened up. It looks better I think. I wanted to try this before completely separating the roof.
  14. Here’s the filler panel in and smoothed in with glaring putty. I also filled in the gap by the top of the doors. I feel like its starting to look better. Thanks for looking.
