  1. Yes, there are different variants to choose from in the kit and in great quality...
  2. That was a great idea, Dave, and you've done a great build!
  3. Yes, the website is running, I already have some of my builds there in the gallery, please visit this, there are some incredible builds! This is our forum: http://coffincorner.proboards.com/
  4. Well, I turn all my wheels on the lathe. In this build here are the rims of LEGO, colored in yellow, encased in machined and polished aluminum tubes. The tires are turned out of PVC, after that cross-knurled and finally black colored...
  5. Thank you very much for the kind words, I appreciate it very much! This is the kit:

  9. Li'l Yeller School Bus Plus! •Original year: 1970 •Company: AMT •Scale: 1/25 •Designer: John Bogosian Here's the Li'l Yeller, the scholar hauler with a soul! AMT's solution to heir pollution is crammed full of educational goodies! Bored of education? Our Teeny-Bobber Teacher's Pest goes to the head of its class with elementary items as "Think Tank" body design, "Brain Drain" Radiator, "Grad-U-Eight" mill with "Cum Louder" stereo exhaust, "Midnight Oil" pan, "Lunge Box" shifter--sheepskin upholstery--mind-bending vinyl tires (quad slicks out back and ground-grabbin' wide-tread weenies up front). It all adds up to the kit most likely to succeed, so don't drop out-- close the generation gaps with Li'l Yeller! Ride on! This is my version. While starting and after a few difficulties with the bodyparts, which fit together very poorly, it spent a few years in the box, also because missing parts blocked the assembly. The mods: Front lowered, aluminum mesh in the cooler and in the interior floor, wired motor, windshield bracing made from 1mm chrome steel wire, a new shifter knob, the roof railing is homemade: four new aluminum holders and inox wire, modified rims from LEGO and some new selfmade Tires... Hope, you like it.
  10. Thank you very much!
  11. Thank you very much for the kind words, I really do appreciate them!
  12. Vega Mini-Van Customized Chevy Vega Rod •Original year: 1977 •Company: Monogram •Scale: 1/24 •Designer: ? The Chevrolet Vega is a subcompact automobile that was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors (GM) from 1970 to 1977. Available in two-door hatchback, notchback, wagon, and panel delivery body styles, all models were powered by an inline four-cylinder engine with a lightweight, aluminum alloy cylinder block. Variants included the Vega GT high-performance style and the Cosworth Vega, a short-lived limited-production performance model, introduced in March 1975. The Vega received praise and awards at its introduction, including 1971 Motor Trend Car of the Year. Subsequently the car became widely known for a range of problems related to its engineering, reliability, safety, propensity to rust, and engine durability. Despite a series of recalls and design upgrades, the Vega's problems tarnished both its own as well as General Motors' reputation, production ended with the 1977 model year. The name is derived from Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. Take the ever popular Chevy Vega, give it some of the features that make the vans so neat and you've got the Vega Mini-Van... ... compact but comfortable! The ribbed roof with the plated luggage rack and the wood grained side panels add a touch of class while the oval windows and plated side pipes give it that sporty appearance. Fat Goodyear tires ride on all four mag wheels and under that sculptured hood sits a potent 454 c.i. Rat motor. Finally done. I think, there have passed some twenty years, since I started this project. Customizing sub-compacts is a special kind of challenge... Well, more or less out of the box, only a few modifications here and there and the thing with the Speakers... On the underside of the hood, I stuck a chrome foil, the rims and tires are originals from the kit, but modified, the front wheels were made smaller in diameter and the rear were rounded only at the edges, and you get a very different effect... This is my Version, hope you like it.
  13. Thank you very much for the kind words! My rims and tires are all handmade and unique pieces, ok, always in pairs... Well, if you buy a meter aluminum tube, say for 10 bucks, and you cut about 30 rims from this meter, then the unit price is low... But if you calculate the processing, with an hourly wage, it's expensive again... Cutting, cut to length, internal turning, fine grinding, polishing... You need a lathe, with collets, the parts are very thin, you must always be careful that they are not braced... Small inner turning tools, fine sandpaper, polishing medium, towels... ... and good finger, because the finishing is done by hand... And the gums are separately... If you have the opportunity, to produce the Alu- parts with a CNC lathe and in great series, it looks different again... The Frontwheel is from from the Mailbox- Chopper kit, the material is used normally and in almost all kits: vinyl. Quasi the softer plastic...
  14. Thank you very much! Now, normally I build nothing out of the box, but as I said, we had a contest on the Coffin Corner 2 - board and my friend Chuck (Starry Eyes) challenged me, to build just for fun a boxstock kit during the contest... ...and this was my choice...
  15. Thank you very much! That sounds great, I'll definitely keep track of your new project!
  16. Yes, Yuri, that is in fact the most beautiful model of this car as it has already been said and you are truly a master builder!
  17. This is a great conversion and very well done!
