I don’t know what you have on hand for paint, but I have a bottle of model master lacquer aluminum paint that I would do the panel with, then I would foil the outer trim, for the tail lamp rings I’d pool some Molotow into something and with a Tamiya ( or equivalent) small pointy swab I’d detail the rings, probably after hitting the ‘lenses’ with Tamiya clear red.

I did a mercury body a couple weeks ago with the colorshift paint from scale finishes, iwata neo with a .35 needle, 20-30 psi, painted it as I would with a spray can, came out pretty good. I just used the same technique as my spray bomb jobs. I used Tamiya ts-13 clear

Thanks everyone, obviously this isn’t a show table build, so it’s a bit sketchy here and there, lol, but having fun just the same. Was back at this about 8 this morning, should be able to have it done in time. -

Doing this along with some friends, not tied to Facebook or anything, just us guys texting back and forth and going like mad, lol. Doing a snap pete again so I can hopefully get it done in time, last two years I’ve finished with around 12 hours total time involved , so I’ll be updating this as I go over the next few hours. Thanks for looking , I’ll be unboxing in about 4 minutes…..

Food coloring and acrylic floor polish (pledge or whatever it is now), mix food coloring with floor polish to desired level of color.

Very nice! Looks fantastic in gold and black.

Rolling right along, engine is pretty much done, I might try to add throttle linkage, but not sure on that yet.

That’s looking fantastic!
