  1. Congrats Dutzie, spectacular build!
  2. Finished this up the other day, used the FLC dump kit so I could use the day cab, modified the stacks ,scratched up a headache rack for it as well, and the container trailer got modified a bit ( fenders and lights), was a nice build with no surprises. As usual, thanks for looking .
  3. Thanks Bill, you are the search master!
  4. Followed the build on this, gorgeous build.
  5. So, I have one of these on the bench, and I’m curious if there is room for a pre wired distributor behind the blower/ in front of the fire wall. Obviously, I’m in the early stages of this kit, so thought I’d see if anyone had built this kit and added wires. I did try a search, but wasn’t able to find what I was looking for, so if I missed an obvious topic on this, I apologize. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
  6. Any pics would be fantastic, thank you.
  7. Kind of an odd question, but, do you folks have pics of completed models in testors purplishious (sp?) and plum crazy purple? Curious as to how different they are in comparison, thanks in advance.

    1930 Packard

I glued it in before paint, it was a pretty good positive fit.

    70 Torino gt

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It’s a nice kit, and is the version with PE, if you have one, get it on the bench, you’ll like building it.

Another recent completion, didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked, but it looks good on the shelf. Thanks for looking.
  13. Finished this one Christmas morning. Used tamiya pearl green, wheels are from the Lindberg 66 chevelle kit ( these hubcaps were actually an option on 67-69 Camaros ) and amt parts pack red line tires. Nice kit, builds up well. As always, thanks for looking.

    1930 Packard

Finished this a few weeks ago, built one as a kid/teen, I think this one came out better, haha. Pretty nice kit for its age, and I think I’ll build a few more of these monogram classics kits, something a bit different from my normal muscle car and big rig projects . As always , thanks for looking.
  15. Beautiful color , that’s really going to come alive with the chrome added. Cragers should look good on it as well.
  16. Beautifully done, absolutely gorgeous build.
  17. Wow, great build! As a former 1:1 66 chevelle owner myself I’ve got plans to build a replica of mine, ironically, I’ve built 4 of these so far but none were ‘my’ car, haha. love everything about your build, fantastic job!
  18. Here are a few different looks to consider, maybe one of them will appeal to you. Wheel/tire choice makes such a huge impact on the overall build. Hope this helps some.
  19. I have laminate flooring in my room, can usually hear the offending part bounce off of it so I can have a rough idea of direction of travel, haha. I have kits stacked under my build table, and sometimes the parts find their way into that abyss, I’ve been known to find awol parts a year or so later in there….
  20. Paint and carpet order came in….
  21. I’ve been using canopy glue for those particular type items for awhile now ( cab lights/mirrors/air horns/grab handles) it dries clear and if any extra happens to squeeze out from under the part, it cleans off easily with a damp swab.
  22. These are from the 71 442 US release
  23. Even if the tape degrades over time, you could pull the slats out again and re tape them.
  24. Great video Joe, thanks for putting that together and sharing it with us.
