that is the bumblebee camaro, a plastic/fiberglass body shell on a 2004-2006 GTO 'frame'.

I found a model kit of the reissue of the RoboCop Taurus police car at a local toy store for 5 bucks. So i painted it all flat black out of the spray can as well as the 'rims' after I dechromed them. The intake and valve covers where also dechromed and painted aluminum out of the bottle along with the rest of the engine. I decided not to use the kit supplied Jetsonic style light bar while it looked cool was way off of the 1/1 car/s used in the 3 films. I used the light bar from the snap together Impala police car, but i painted the chrome areas satin black and clear yellow over the non red and blue lenses. It is still not 100% movie accurate but a quantum leap over the kit supplied bar. Here is 2 pics I took of it at a model show in buffalo last spring. I entered it in the tv and movie class, but it did not win or even place in the top 3 :cry: . Right now it sits in a display case at my local hobby store . I normally don't do cars of this type unless they are true police cars like caprice or similar.

I knew a guy in florida who had a 1/1 one of NONE built 96 Impala SS wagon . he took a standard caprice wagon, and added almost ALL of the stuff that makes it into an impala ss. He even had the IMPALA SS rear quarter lettering on the wagon. he removed the roof rack and modified the rear tail lights to to resemble the impala ss tails. He had the car painted that unique grey/green paint color. the only thing he had left to do was swap the standard caprice rear axle with drums to an impala or police caprice for the rear discs. other than that the car was very well done.

well to be fair that was Renault of USA's decision. in france it is called the R5 .

Robert, that is one of the prettiest, most awesome Ferrari cars out there. I love how yours turned out, i am getting the revell of germany one myself i hope mine turns out as nice as yours.

the 575M and its new decendant the 599GTB are my FAVORITE front engined V12 ferraris. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the 599 kit to go with my enzo (the 599 uses the enzo engine but with 'slightly' less power ).

is that the dan fink speed wagon? if so i have that kit if anybody is interested :wink:

actually the 2002 silverados got a new front fascia with lights and grille similar to the avalanche truck and it got new rear fenders and tailights too.

yeah, i have the model of the lara croft jeep diecast. it is a nice kit, here is a picture of the 1/1 scale version. and here is a picture of the model, with a little help from Ms Croft herself

casey i was gonna go with the wheels in either the 66 chevelle wagon or the 69 shelby. but I am trying to duplicate the 1/1 car wheels that is why I chose the welly mustang for its wheels. I have had a few welly diecasts in that scale and i gotta tell you the wheels they make for the cars are really nice. I have a Delorean from welly and the wheels are dead on to the 1/1 cars i have seen. Once I paint the spokes a darker color and the center of the center cap black they will look real nice. sno_man let me know on the website for the paint. if you guys know the website for the company that sells 1/1 car paint in bottles and aerosol cans i think they were MCW but not sure, i want the url for the site as i saw they had Highland Green but I never got the chance to write down the cat # for the paint :oops:

A few questions from a 'fellow' Dave. 1: does the kit give you the option of left hand drive? if not is there any way to get a left hand drive dash? 2: what color did you spray the body shell brand and color and cat# if possible. Great looking 'B' man my dad had 3 of them all pre rubber bumper models.

I dont have any photos yet as my digital camera is in florida with my brother till the end of the month. but here is the basic info. I found out that Ford is gonna produce ANOTHER limited edition Bullitt themed Ford Mustang for the 2008 model year as part of the 40th anniversary of the film. The car is gonna be basically a base model V6 car but with the GT car's drive train (think the 5.0 LX mustangs from the 80s to early 90s ). Here is a picture of the concept. I am using Revell's 2006 Mustang GT kit as the base. Just like McQueen's car I am removing ALL the badging except for the 'gas cap' looking rear badge between the taillights. I am also omitting the rear wing, and modifying the front grille so it wont have the auxillary lights and the horse in the center. I will be attaching a set of resin rear quarter window louvers from PSF Hobbies. As for the wheels I was planning on using a set of the wheels that come in the recent revell 1966 Chevelle wagon but they just look TOO big for me. So I am gonna use a set of wheels off of this 1/24 scale diecast 2005 mustang from Welly diecast. I haven't decided on what shade of dark green paint to paint the body. I don't have an airbrush so I am gonna go aerosol can for that. If anybody knows of a brand and color that best resembles 'Highland Green' let me know. I plan on finishing the car off with this plate... I am doing the engine and drivetrain now, as SOON as I get my camera back I will post some progress pics, I swear .

maybe they canceled it cause they plan on converting the stock GT mustang kit into the GT500? I mean didn't they offer the C6 corvette as a stock and a Z06 with minor retooling? I HOPE that monogram 'steps up to bat' with this project.

Bill, i just read through the 8 pages of this thread. and i just gotta say, no I cant say it, i will let this say it for me. I am so looking forward to seeing this completed.
