  1. I hope it is done for April. For the front i am painting it free hand. I may use BMF on the cab door hinges. I haven't decided yet. There will be gold BMF going around the cab between the black and red.
  2. I like it. Jamie over at SMB Resins has some 3" hose that you could use for a hose load. Jim's idea works great too.
  3. Here are some updates on this project. I haven't been working on it as much as I would like. Attending college full time is taking more time than a full time job. But anyway here are some of the things I have accomplished. The body is painted and attached to the frame as well as the drive wheels. I used BMF for all the compartment hinges. The cab is all painted and I happy with the results. M/M Classic black over Testors Dark Red. I just started to paint the sliver trim by hand.
  4. KJ Great job on this one.
  5. Great progress keep on building
  6. Nice job and she is already moving snow.
  7. Welcome back to big rig building. Looking great.
  8. Looks good. Are the stripes decals or painted on ?
  9. You did a great job cutting down the cab.
  10. Check out Ben's site here http://bwicke9.wix.com/class-a-resin Jamie and Ben sell the MD4560 Allison Automatic tranny.
  11. For stripping paint I have used purple power which I believe is the same stuff depending on were you buy it. For stripping paint I have been using Purple Power it is easy to get and it works on plastic and resin. PP also works in dechroming parts too. For cleaning resin prior to painting as I stated before the cheapest brake clean from Walmart is working to great. Hope this helps.
  12. Nice Kevin. Did someone cast that cab??
  13. Looks like a nice combo. Tea those old box trailer can be a bitch some times
  14. Looks like you are off to a great start.
  15. I think it depends if the mold was reworked. The newer cabs are thinner. I would just reach out to Dave and ask what the cab thickness is.
