Does anyone have pics of a built amt chevy bel air 409 ?
Steve Prideaux replied to ERIK88's topic in Model Cars
The 62 Bel-Air kit, has the correct interior for the late year Z11 engine option. the 409-425hp and the z-11 engine, had the silver/gray valve covers. From the factory. The MCW interior, is for the 1963 Impala kit, converting the bucket seats to a bench seat. The 63 Z-11 did not come with bucket seats. Steve Prideaux -

My FavorIte Mopar Stocker
Steve Prideaux replied to Steve Prideaux's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thank you all for the kind comments. The body is from a resin caster no longer in business, called Cheezcast, from Wisconsin. This body, is available from MCW Model Car World Automotive Finishes. The doner kit is the Revell 67 GTX. I used the front bench seat from the Lindburg 64 Dodge, The slicks, are cut down from a set of AMT Good-Years. The decals, are Fred Cady. I will try to post some pictures.I took recently. Thank you all for the interest. I will post some pictures of some of my other builds. Thanks again Steve Prideaux The Lee Smith Plymouth, Is a Good Stuff body, with Fremont racing Decals. The Wheels, are from Herb Deeks. This car was from the area were I grew up, in Illinois and is one of my favorites. Lee Smith, gave me a ride in this car, at Rockford Dragway, when my car broke at the end of the track. It really did rattle my ribs !!! -
Roger, Great build !!! Now, you have only ten more to have the complete set. LOL Great work. The Speed City cars are great to work with. Steve Prideaux

Thank you all for the comments. I really appreciate them. Harry, I think it was way before R2D2, he was just called R. !!!. Bernard, you are correct, I saw the Williams roadster at the Pebble Beach several years ago. The front suspension consists of a brass I-beam axle with working steering back to the steering box, brass springs and shackles. bolted together. The decals were made for by Joe Curtis, on his Alps. ( which just died) Does anybody know of any place that works on Alps printers ? thanks for the interest. Steve Prideaux
