  1. Looks great.
  2. I like that will have to learn how to do that. Is that black tape or has it been dyed someway.
  3. Wow the options seem limitless with this kit can't wait to what happens next with this kit.
  4. A little more work done tonight. We will see how much work this thing is going to be tomorrow.
  5. Thanks guys I got some glazing putty today at autozone to try on the motor, I will order some tamiya to try and maybe some green stuff to try also. I picked up the glazing putty because I could get it quick and the hobby store is an hour away. Thanks for the help guys.
  6. Now this is what this forum is about, just having fun. That is just to cool, and I agree with the muffler bearing gang.
  7. Thanks for the help guys, I will try and make another trip to the hobby shop. Hope it doesn't cost me too much this time. I hate that place. lol
  8. Since the weather has not been to cooperative lately I have decided to start on another build and will continue with the Cuda when I can get some more paint work done. I bought this one because it I thought I might be able to steal some parts for the Cuda but decided I didn't need anything so I will do a out of the box build to continue with my schooling. This one is requiring a whole lot more prep work than the Revell kit. Any suggestions or comments will greatly appreciated as this will be my 2nd build and the first is not even done yet. Question what do you guys use as a body filler, that is easily sandable, I'm working on the motor right now and need some filler. Thanks Bob
  9. I think it looks great, I too am a brand new builder working on my first build, I started in early December and I am still working on my Cuda, although I think I'm getting close to finishing but I keep seeing more detail I want to do. Seems like there is no end unless you choose to stop with a project. The guys around here are great, I am also learning a lot. Anyway keep up the great work. Bob
  10. I like it love the stance.
  11. Nice going to be very cool. I will be following this one.
  12. Just an awesome job I love it. I owned a 69 1/2 A12 car back in the early 80's so when I get better at this modeling stuff I will be building one myself, I'm sure it will look nothing like your work of art though. Great Job.
  13. Love it just awesome.
  14. Very cool story John, my wife will be on board as long as I don't neglect her while I'm building, I tend to get a little tunnel vision when I first get into something. Just need to keep her happy too. Thanks Carl, I'm trying.
  15. I was into skydiving pretty heavy for quite a few years, and although my wife supported me in that endeavor she was not really happy with it. I stopped jumping a few years ago and will probably go back to it at some point but for now I'm content to stay in the plane. She feels a little better about that. So when I do stuff like this she's usually ok with it.
  16. Looks great, I have one I am going to try and scratch build since I robbed the chassis for my Cuda build. I cut the doors and nose off it for practice so we will see. I really like the color scheme on yours awesome job.
  17. Very nice job I will hopefully be getting one of those in the near future.
  18. Thanks Fred I will continue to watch and learn. I really appreciate you taking the time to teach as you build it really helps us new guys a lot. I was trying to use a candle, and did find that the area heated was too large and caused some distortion in the bar. I also love your tools, I will be looking for something similar myself to help me with my builds. Thanks again Bob
  19. Sure is a shame you have to redo it, I really liked the color. Gonna be one bad ride.
  20. Thanks for all the support guys. I am having fun but will have to throttle back a little to keep the wife happy. I now have a pretty good start on supplies and tools so I can just jump in when the urge hits me and not have to run to the store every time before I want to do anything. Anyway Thanks again. Bob
  21. Getting closer, decided it was just going to be a fun street car.
  22. You have some serious skills and I'm learning a lot following your builds. So thank you.
  23. Can't wait to see this one done very nice start.
  24. Few more bits done on the motor while I am waiting on primer and paint to dry on the chassis and seats. Also I'm trying to decide on two stock seats or one race seat. Can't decide if its a race car or a fun street car. what do you think. Dash and steering wheel are being stripped to be redone.
