  1. Beautifully done!
  2. I might just have to sit my '67 Camaro aside, and drop 1 out of 2 of my cars out of the running and just finish 1 of them... ugh. I can't *make* myself build it seems... only when inspiration hits. I'll see if I can pull it together.
  3. Got this one... Wanted one for a while and it looks complete even though the box is pretty beat up. It will sit with my Lincoln Futura when it's done.
  4. That was a good show. Tough competition too. Swap was nice, but cramped.... and warm.
  5. I had a minicraft 30 or 31 Model A delivery sedan given to me by a friend. I think it was the box with the orange car on the cover. Not sure if I'll ever build it but it's neat.
  6. I nonchalantly collect old coins. Mostly if I happen to come across them. I also work on real full sized cars. Here's examples of some of my piles... My '88 Mustang LX before.. The same car, and about 8 years later... LOL My '93 Lincoln Mark VIII Before After a deer After I put it back together again... Then decided to take it apart again to make it go faster... and it's still apart. I have a few more mustangs but no drastic changes to them. I also do the guitar thing occasionally. But I'm so a.d.d. on my hobbies I dont spend enough time to be any good. but I like em. So I have a collection of musical stuff.. The guitars in this pic arent mine (this is at my friends house) but the two peavey cabinets and Penta head are mine My 60s tribute gibson les paul and my 40's gibson jazz box A cheap squire bullet I got for free. Plays well I also really like welding stuff I really like playing video games as well. I'm 29 so I grew up in an age where technology didnt completely rule your daily life, but it was starting to... I still have my Nintendo NES, my Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Gamegear/Sega Nomad/Sega 32X, PS1/PS2/PS3, now playing a PS4... loving it. I also used to play roadie for a local band for about 6 years. Not so much anymore... getting older and fatter sucks lol I also used to draw a lot as well when I was young. No time for that stuff anymore it seems.
  7. Mmmmm.... Gibson ES335.... good call
  8. I found something at home depot once. I cant remember a brand name but it is a nice kit.
  9. I saw a few of these at NNL. Almost bought one.
  10. Wow. That is breathtakingly gorgeous. Fantastic work!
  11. The Sydney to Perth route would be awesome. That would be an east to west race!
  12. Have android smartphone? Use the google translate app. It's awesome.
  13. Oh thats awesome! I built the Rat Packer Nova a while back that this would look great on.
  14. Welcome! You build some nice looking vehicles!
  15. Yes... even though I'm having good distracting fun! LOL I got the new Mad Max game... and me being already a huge Mad Max fan I've been sucked into it pretty good. I keep staring at my desk piled full of stuff thinking man... I need to finish this. I also have a Mustang in the garage that needs to be worked on too... decisions, decisions....
  16. I thought I replied to this but I must have fell asleep or something. No I just wetsanded the body with 3000 grit and then resprayed it. And of course on my final coat of clear I ran it. Dang. So there was a few spots that needed attention. But it didnt look too bad overall So after I let it dry a few days I got brave and decided that this would be the first model I try wetsanding and buffing. So far, it's gone ok.. I didnt go further than 3000 grit. I had 5000 grit but I didnt want to chance it. So here's what it looks like after the wetsanding, and then buffing with several stages of compound (mostly Wizard's) and I'm pretty impressed. It has a little bit of orange peel still but I'm not going to push my luck. I then bought a PS4.... and so I havent paid much attention to this thing since. LOL
  17. That's pretty cool! Those headers have me thinking Mad Max-like thoughts!
  18. I'm totally down with that. I'd love to do an off-road themed cannonball run. I think I have just the vehicle for that.
  19. I really like what you've done with the place! lol great build!
  20. Take the off road idea, and maybe mash it up against a Mad Max post apocalyptic survival vehicle idea? Anything would fit at that point I'd imagine. Whatever vehicle was still mobile enough to survive and adapt. I'm not sure if I'd have a good candidate for that theme, but man it would be cool to see.
  21. You keep the dog, I'll take the Galaxie 500! For those that are curious...
  22. I have 2 of the "Bad News" kits, and a "Bad Actor" kit as well that I havent touched them yet...
  23. Also DOT3 brake fluid. It's smelly, it's messy, and it's not great to work with, but man, it gets just about anything off. Even stubborn primer. I used duplicolor primer on my '55 Street Machine chevy bel air and I screwed up the paint, and needed to strip it bare, and that was the only stuff that would touch tamiya paint and duplicolor primer.
