  2. ucket.com/albums/ee43/ewaskew/66%20Chevy%20Impala/002.jpg I cut the rear fender between the door and wheel well to make it shorter, droped the roof, set it closer to the ground, custom built the interior. The paint is tamiya orange with tamiya clear orange over that and the gloss clear still has to be done. More phots later as I get the hang of it. Thanks Earl Miller
  3. Those are some nice builds. What brand of paint did you use? Earl Miller
  4. I think they look just fine the way they are.Plain or not a model builder your age is a good thing keep up the good work. I have two car carriers one holds 7 cars and the other is a stinger style it holds 9 cars. They do make good displays. Earl Miller
  5. That is realy great work. I scrath build a lot myself and I know whats involved keep up the good work.
  6. This is the start of the frame work on my 69 Chevelle http://photobucket.com/earl_2008?albumview=slideshow More of this and my other builds on my photobucket
  7. Can the car have updated work on it. I have a 69 Chevelle that I'm building. It has a scratch built chassis that I'm building with 66 parts built so far. And its in the dry fit stage it will be broke down after I'm finished then painted & assembled. Up dated rear end with air bag shocks, front end is IFS style with air bag shocks. No body changes Add me to the list if it qualifies and I'll try to get some photos on here.
  8. Look through some hot rod mags and you can see some advertised in a way that shows you how they work. As for the rails you can use square tube and cut a guide groove for your roller pin and it will stay in the track rail. For rollers you can use the smallest scale train wheels that will fit inside your rail. It would be best to find your rollers first then build the rail to fit. Once you have all the parts, tape the hood in place and work from the bottom of the body to keep things lined upHope this helps.
  9. Yea man I hate to here that,I know what it's like to work with a damaged hand or arm. I got knocked off a building and hit the concrete landing on my left arm just some banged up muscles fell about 11 feet thank I God I'm alive. The Doctor said that 90% of people die falling from that hight. So be grateful that you still have that hand and stop mis- treating it. Earl Miller
  10. You can put me down for a 69 Chevelle build Earl Miller
  11. nice rides I am going to paint a 1/12 scale Camaro the color on the Mustang, and thought about what it would look like on a Mustang thanks to your photo now I know and yes I will do a mustang in that color. Earl M.
  12. yea I liked the finish, it was like the old days ALMOST What was not like the old days was what was said after the race. For a driver to say he didn't want to win like that, when he did nothing wrong is a joke. Tony put the pressure on him and he messed up in a big way. Well thats racing. And back in the day BOTH drivers would have talked maybe even passed some blows but none the less it is what it is, good hard racing instead of follow the car in front of you. And yes thank God no one got hurt. As for baby Kyle Bush I like his driving style but not his attitude. If its not all about him he don't want to talk to no one poooor baby, he needs to man up instead of running out when he gets pouty Earl Miller

  19. hello everyone I am building a car for someone that will match his real car an El Camino SS. White car Black racing stripes.I want to paint the stripes on instead of decals It is all Tamya paint from the can and in the past I have used model master clear gloss that looks yello overtime on white. Will tamya clear do the same thing? The reason I ask is when I mask off for the stripes it would be better to wet sand the white to keep it from pulling off when I remove the tape I'm using the green automotive tape and tacking it lighty to help prevent pulling paint. Sorry this is so long I just dont want to screw the paint up. Thanks for any tips Earl MilleR
  20. The meaning of NASCAR in the beginning {National Association Stock Car Auto Racing} . The meaning of the word the way things are now { Not A Stock Car Auto Race}. Like in the beginning the cars should have stayed all American brands.NOT TOYOTA'S just because there built here in the U.S.A. The so called {C.O.T.} CAR OF TOMORROW as it was being talked about before it hit the track was misleading. The real meaning of {C.O.T.} is ###### ON TRACK. All they do is follow each other, no real racing involved, even the short tracks are BORING. My wife will ask me where there racing, and I will tell her I don't know because I have lost interest in the sport that it is suppose to be, and don't keep up with it. I heard about the dramatic finish when Mark Martin won the race. When I caught up with the replay of how he won on gas mileage. I was not surprised that NASCAR would call that dramatic. I call it smart team work. Dramatic is old school beating and banging and fighting your way to the front and REALLY winning a race.
  21. Thats a nice truck chris keep em coming Earl M
  22. That is a cool redneck-family ride. It reminds me of an 80's impala one of my x-boss's owned, everybody wanted to ride that thing around town and a lot of those wanting to ride were woman. Earl M.
  23. Hello Mike That is a very clean and nice build. It looks real good. Keep building and sending photos. Earl M.
  24. Hello Clay Thank God you made it. I had a boss that would make comments about me eating slow, even though I always finished lunch on time And as you said no one is going to take it from you.But my response every time to the boss was. This could be my last meal so I take my time and enjoy every bite of food, and every breath of life. Glad your still here to do the same. Earl Miller
  25. I'll say one thing a lot of people don't like the answers they get. So when they ask the question, they should ask it in a way that will get the answer they want. I See that this is another stupid question by a reporter-interviewer.Not saying there stupid but they should think before they speak. The way I see it. Tell it like it is. If they get mad so be it. If you don't want to know the truth. Don't ask me the question. I never make fun of anyone, and treat everyone the same. Needless to say I don't get ask a lot of questions, and thats fine by me. If everyone had these simple personal rules in life, life would be a lot simpler and they are as follows. Don't get into my personal business and we will get alone just fine. Ask me anything and expect the truth without getting mad or offended. As for Ted's answer, well thats his personal thoughts. And thats the way it is. I don't hunt but have friends that do, and every hunting story that I have heard not one time have I heard them say. I wonder what the animal was thinking before I killed it. Thanks Earl Miller
