  1. Cool. Luckily I found my overpriced resin Ford when the Italeri Ford wreckers were just released at a reasonable price. So mine will be on a LTL 9000 chassis, eventually. It's confusing that the box label recommends a FLD120 chassis, which as you know is s.f.b.a.
  2. Tonight I tackled the under structure of the hood. I started by folding a piece of paper inside the hood to trace the shape. Then I cut that out. Then I drew in the understructure as best I could from photos, with no real measurements. Then transferred to styrene sheet Then cut out and glued into the hood
  3. Great score Chuck. Hopefully that didn't hit the old wallet too hard. I know these have gotten outrageous. What are you planning to use as a donor?
  4. Thanks Ken, Brian, and Dennis. Sam, I could be crazy but I feel like Ive seen Italeri tire packs with the super singles. I will be swapping them on my Bill Signs Pete also. The front tires are so much larger than the rears, it looks silly.
  5. Thanks Gator. This is the first Autocar that Ive built that I got the stance right. Daves tires really give it that authentic look. Im happy with it, tgat why Im going slooooow. I want this to be my new favorite.
  6. Small update for tonight: the motor is mostly together, started on front brake lines, more work on drum, more work on cradle, added air tanks
  7. Awesome Chuck. This is definitely my favorite AMT kit. The only major flaw is the location of the rear trunion.
  8. Wow! Excellent builds. There are many there that Id be proud to have built. I love all the spoke wheels on the Aussie builds. Those guys know how to build some tough trucks. Thanks for sharing!
  9. Very nice build. Great job
  10. Thanks Jarda. This would be a great feature for you to use on your NASA Pete build.
  11. Very cool builds. These are top notch quality. Thanks for sharing these Chuck. Tell Tim to keep em coming. I love that Diamond Reo, and the Pete 352. Those powder cement trailers are excellent. I would like to see more of those.
  12. I'm glad to see this dude finished. All of the added details have really stepped up this often underrated kit. I especially like the wheels, headache rack, catwalk, and the wiring/plumbing. The wheels really brought it from a kit, to a model. Great job Sam. You get better with every build.
  13. Thanks for sharing those. I never knew such a place existed. Some of those toys Ive never seen before either. It's cool that they have some 1:1 trucks in there also.
  14. Clayton, it's the Fotki link at the bottom of his post.
  15. Nice job Chuck. I like the blue. I'm thinking of making a billet grill for mine. Was there any issues with fitment?
  16. Thanks guys, that's what I'm gonna go with. Small update: Cab,hood, drum, chassis, and fenders have been puttied and sanded. Revell front tires swapped out with singles from Italeri dump trailer. Rear window gasket roughed in.Grill shell blended into hood. I think these tires on the front look a whole lot better than the Revell car tires. It's getting closer.
  17. That's what I was thinking. Plus, a new truck with a retro paint scheme is even better for me. Thanks Clayton.
