I was out of town today and stopped at the Hob Lob where I was at. I walked in, cut straight to the back, hooked a right, then a left, and on the bottom shelf there it was. I nabbed the coolest kit Ive ever bought from the Lobb. I flashed my coupon, and walked out with it for a lil over $20 bucks. After a rainy labor day dealing with a feverish 3 year old, that made my day.

Sweet was a good band. I dont know a whole lot about them except for a few songs, Little Willy, Fox on the run, and Ballroom blitz

Im working on the master now.Im also throwing together a mock-up chassis with cab and bed, so I can make sure it all jives. I have a big project to complete for a show in sept, so that is my top priority. This should be ready within the next month. Ill keep you updated.

There are many things different about the truck in the photo. It is only shown to be an example of the set up.Im familiar with the period that the kit represents and thats the way I intend to build the boxes.

Ive built one from cutting down a DM800, so its possible that they did that and cast it. I have a mtfaco casting( pre-aitm) and its pretty thick. Ive bought the R-model steel hoods from at least 4 different casters. Who knows, maybe theyre all ripping each other off. The one I got from Aitm is different from the others tho.

It would be a tool box with 2 or 3 doors to replace the sleeper, along with a daycab panel. Im not finished with it, but Im thinking about $20. Its just going to be a simple conversion that would require no modifications to the kit except cutting out the back of the cab.

It comes on the decal sheet in the dump trailer kit.

Aitm has the steel hood kit. I think some others do as well, but I think its ripped off from Aitm.

Its still a DM600, its just the steel hood model. They also made an R model with the steel butterfly hood. Same trucks, different specs.

Well it looks good to me man. This is one of the better FL coes that Ive seen. I like the drom.

I figured as much. I like that set up better than the behind the cab tank. Thats how we did on our trucks.
