  1. That Frieghtliner in the pic looks to be the model that had the motor mounted laid down on its side under the frame. I would build one but without that uggo sleeper on top of the cab. It reminds me of that Dodge van from Napolean Dynomite.
  2. I havent, but the airplane guys in my club use it. Part of my problem on this truck was that I used a different brand of paint(white) and primer, than usual and it didnt grab too well. I learned my lesson to just wait until I have time to get the right stuff. This build has been put off to the side while Im finishing the Brockway build. This truck still has too many things left to do to make it to the show on the 20th, so Im just focusing on the Brockway. Right after the show Ill get back on it.
  3. They got a vintage victrola 1951, full of my favorite records that I grew up on They got old Hank and lefty there on B24..........
  4. I usually put a small masking strip where Im going to glue during paint. Ive also just glued the fenders on, and then just masked them seperate from the hood during painting.
  5. yes sir, I was ecstatic when they re-formed
  6. The day I tried to live, I wallowed in the dirty mud with all the other pigs, yeah Singing one more time around, might do it One more time around, might make it The day I tried to live, just like you
  7. Yeah man, just the fact that in 2014 I can walk into a store that sells models(havent been any around in awhile) and buy a brand new California Hauler, is something I think Ive dreamt about. The fact that I can also but a metal Indian motorcycle sign, a Dodge Charger sign, a White Freighiner Coe, a fruity candle for my wife, and a coloring book for my daighter all in the same place deserves a thank you. In so many ways, I love Hobby Lobby.
  8. funny thing is, that was my wifes idea.
  9. Thanks guys. I got some striping on the Huskie tonight. I added my door decals as well. The white tires are fresh cast resin. The ones in previous pics had flaws, and these are the re-moulds.

  15. I got some more color on the cab and Im ready to start pin striping. I finished the linkage on the winch and just have to finish the chain. Its close to the end, I have 16 days to finish this.
  16. That is just flat out awesome. I love it man. On the topic of painting before or after assembly, Ive cone to prefer putting as much of it together as I can and then paint. As Jarda said, when I need to mask a gluing area, I just apply a strip of tape there so theres no scraping afterwards. Its a real time saver. Excellent job!
  17. Yes, I agree. The shortened hood makes for a much more attractive truck.
  18. Ill try something a little less obscure Ill pick up all the pieces and make an island, I might even raise a little sand,
  19. Metallica no leaf clover
