  1. Yes sir, that will do. The extra tank is cool, and its also a frame step. I might use that. It needs a lowboy behind it with a couple more Huskies in tow. Thanks for posting.
  2. With the cab & chassis in paint, I need to finish construction on the winch and the interior. I tackled the winch first. Im working off some photos of a few restored Rigger trucks. Ive been working on the levers and linkages and shafts that control the winch. Heres what I have so far. Heres a piece of the PE chain
  3. What a beatiful rig! Thanks for posting this. The 361 is definitley one of my favorites. Too bad this ones got a green motor, and not a beige or yellow one . Otherwise, a perfect tractor. Id throw a flatbed on it and use as a grocery getter!
  4. This paint has been fighting me EVERY step of the way. My masking ripped off a few of my rivets, and there have been plenty of other flaws. I amost put this in a box to come back to it in a few years, but I really want it done for Sept.Heres it finally looking like something, but I still have sone touch ups to do.
  5. Heres a little close-up of the oscillating 5th wheel I built for it.
  6. After a ton of OCD sanding, I finally got some color on the cab.
  7. Dodging hot chips is the only excitement I get some days
  8. Ive had it fly under my glasses and land on the bags under my eyes, and burrow into my scalp, and down my shirt, but never in my ear. Thats a million dollar shot. Most of it ends up in my beard.
  9. I forgot, Mark Knopfler.
  10. Not a virtuoso by any means, but the guy was great at what he did.Is
  11. Thats my guys man. They are my biggest guitar influences.A lot of the more popular guys just dont do it for me.
  12. Dave at AITM has some Mack A/C parts. I cant remember where I saw them at. I dont think theyre on the site.
  13. Hey guys, since the Peterbilt wrecker kit is back in circulation again I grabbed a few of them. Im scratch building some tool boxes to extend the wrecker body to take up the space where the sleeper would be. Im not big on sleepers, but besides that the body looks too short. If I cast this with a daycab panel as a kit, would anyone be interested? It would turn the kit into something like this.
  14. Ebay always has tons of brochures on everything.
  15. Springsteen sort of punches the notes out of the guitar. Very unique technique. Anyway, heres my top 20 Jimi Hendrix Alvin Lee Kim Thayil Rory Gallagher Tony Iommi Fast Eddie Clark Robin Trower Nokie Edwards Leslie West
  16. Oh, I didnt notice that. They should be facing up as in the 2nd photo. The first photo you posted is wrong.
  17. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Heres where I started striping, and masking it. I tried a different shade of red, and hated it. So its back to the old trusty red, and now Im happy. 1st red 2nd red
  18. A bunch of stuff, what specifically?
  19. Ive love the period correct paint man! Thats about as cool as the old school photos in Overdrive. Great job.
  20. Ive been following Tim since back in the days of the Plastic Cowboy and proud to say I had pictures on that site(as bad as they were). It great to see Tims dedication to build as many Peterbilts as possible! Im going to catch up to you one day with Autocars. Im glad were both still around!
  21. I have a pic of that truck in my shop.
  22. I would love to see the Autocar dump truck box art wearing the paint scheme of the California Hauler. Definitely my two favorite kits to collect. And build. Just in case your taking requests. I would pay for that.
  23. The chains dont really rub against the bumper, the truck is chained against the towbar or in the case of the kit, its is chained against the big flat plate. The rubber slings on a medium/light duty wrecker is a different set up. Most wreckers use the under-reach method now. On the older style, the truck is chained to the towbar and the cables lift the towbar and the truck. The towbar holds the truck rigid and stops it from slamming into the back of the wrecker.
