No, its been put on the back burner for a little while. My main project right now is my Brockway, and Ive been busy with resin casting. I have a show this weekend, then I can get back to this and a few other projects. Thanks for checking in

If I can throw my opinion in here, I have no prior opinion of Tony Stewart. I literally know nothing about the guy, and I dont really need to. Its clear that a lot of people want to see him crucified, but the fact is Kevin Wards own stupidity is what got him killed. He got out of the car because he was mad and wanted to show everyone that he was mad. He climbed out to confront a moving race car. This kid is clearly an idiot, with a bad temper. Everyone keeps talking about Tonys temper, what about Kevins? He wasnt trying to get to safety, he was looking for a fight and he got killed. Stupidity. I feel bad for his parents, but they should have tought him to control himself.

If the tank got bent on a 1:1, I think the owner would take a hammer to the bottom of the cab to get the cap off.I would heat it a push it in.

The white freightliner is the biggest nightmare with the multipiece cab. With that being said, as was already said, the IH transtar is probably the best builder kit. The Peterbilt 352 is not a bad kit either. It has a few minor issues, but goes together pretty well. The GMC and Chevys are ok, but Ive just never been attracted to them. The Revell KW coes are great kits, and Ive kitbashed a few Mack cruisliners and they appear to be solid kits as well.

Thanks guys. This has been one of those builds that just keeps pushing me a little further. It was hard getting certain things just right. I removed and reglued the fuel tanks and battery boxes at least 10 times trying to get them exactly right. The winch really took almost as much work as the whole truck. The trailers really ate my lunch trying to get them just right. Heres the trailers with some paint. They still need some wet sanding and more coats, but heres the mock up. I havent had any time to work on the train, so it will probably go to show with my diecast dozer on it.

Guthrie Govan is awesome. I found out about him watching him demo a fretless guitar. It inspired me to build my own. Ive since studied some of his technical lessons etc. Hes a great player. And yes, Jerry Reed is the man.

The rods are 1/16 alum welding rod, and I did machine the collars. I just turned down some .250 round stock and drilled it 1/16. The linkage for the levers is plastic using rods and tube.

Ace hardware safety red. It the one Im stuck on. Its the perfect shade of red to me. The bottom half of my shop is this color. I tried using a different red on the Pete 352 wrecker, but you saw how that went. I have an Autocar painted the same shade of red as your Pete 359. Its the only one thats different.

Got the chains hung, and interior finished. Ive gotten a lot done on the trailers as well. Ill have some pics of them in the morning.

This weekend is crunch time. Ive got 6 days to have this done. For now heres the completed winch and muflaps.

That idea reminds me of two short hood Autocars with winches in a book I have. That will look great. Go for it. Ill try to find the pics
