There wasn't a big turn-out for the model car and pedal car contest but some pretty nice models got entered and we all had a lot of fun. I got lucky enough to get a second place with my A-100 Dodge Hemi R/T. Here are a few pics I took, enjoy and thanks for looking. Dave http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v706/Mel...l%20Car%20Show/

At the May PSAMA show there was talk about a new show to be in November maybe, but I haven't heard anything for shure about it. I also have a nice set of Chevy Rallies with the same offset, just waiting to pick a car to pot those on to. Dave

This is one I started today. It's the new re-release of the 64 Fairlane painted Tamiya Gloss Black out of the can, lowered the front suspension a little and thinking aboutr droping the rear a little. Wheels are from a 1/32 Jada BigTime Muscle Mustang. In The store the wheels look like they would be close to 1/25 scale and they fit and look good for $6.00. Tomorrow I'm painting the interior and motor red and hopefully have it done by the end of the week for the model car/ pedal car show at the Goodguys car show in Puyallup, Wa. this weekend. Let me know what you think, Dave

Nice build, it looks great !!! -
When you got a Hemi, who needs brakes. I realized I forgot the disk brakes after the glue was applied. Gregg, I thought about a Magnum 500 wheel, I dont have any of the newer Factory wheels, but liked the lowered look with the Chrome T's

I have wanted to build this kit for a long time, it was a fun build. I decided to build this with with the Hemi with a MAD pre-wired distributor as a street truck and got building. I came across some '69 Superbee stripes, added those and them R/T decals from a '69 Charger. I Took the Dodge lettering off the front and added smaller Dodge decals which I like better. Paint is Testors One Coat Purple-Icious wit Wet Look Clear.I used several other parts from the '69 Charger kit and Pegasus Chrome T's. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed building it. Comments welcomed good or bad. Thanks Dave

Kustom Kolor Kwestions
Towmaster Dave replied to The Red Ranger's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I have used laquer thinner and used Testors Wet Look Clear and have had good results . Some of the KK paints do need to be thinned and some were thin enough to airbrush. Hope that helps a little. This Camaro was Painted using KK Kosmos Red. Dave -

Thanks Dave for the helpfull tips. I have painted this A100 twice and had to dip it in the brake fluid twice. I painted this today your way and I think it turned out GREAT using Testors One Coat Laquer and Wet Look Clear.

Got most of the body work done today. 99% of the body work is heated sprue and then sanded to shape. I only had to use a little filler putty to get some of the fine holes filled. I cut the headlight holes out of a Tamiya Mercedes race car kit and then molded them into the fenders. My next part is to open up the doors and suicide then, the trunk is already opened. Also pictured is a Revell 39 Ford frame i am going to use along with R&D Unique independent front suspension and disk brake kit. I'm still undecided on the rear axle and engine. Thanks for looking, Dave

I like that, good score on the resin fordor. Put some big wire wheels and that color you choose that would look sweet. The whites and flippers would look great too thought. Dave
