I want to see more of these as well. I had always planned to pitch something similar to Gregg but never got around to it, but I was just thinking well known modelers. I still think those pics of Fred are from a while ago though...they look awfully similar to the pictures in BC's NASCAR book! (Not that that's a bad thing, they were black and white there IIRC, it's been a while since I took the book out and actually looked) -
Finished what I think is my best model ever...

I finished my Blazer and posted it in the workbench section. I also finished a Mercedes Benz 230 G but I don't know if that's a 4x4 or not! I think it is, as it has driveshafts going to both front and rear axles. That's also posted in the Workbench section! -
This was a great kit except for one major problem. Whenever I tried to clearcoat the hood, it kept messing up in the EXACT same place, the exact same way. So, it's fine the way it is! You can really only see it when it's reflecting light, anyway. The paint is MML Honduras maroon. With two coats of clear (except the hood, which has one) It's been slightly customized. The interior is MML Interior fabric red. The tailgate was supposed to open but I didn't like the way it always opened, it wouldn't stay shut so I just glued it shut. Overall, a really fun kit to build. I am considering doing another, actually! Stupid Cloud... This picture really shows the sparkle of the paint!

My first Revell of Germany kit. Not a bad kit overall, but the suspension was kind of a nightmare. I couldn't figure out where some of the parts went, so they are now in the parts box, LOL. The front was ok, but not the rear. The front wheels are also steerable. This kit has options for a street vehicle or also a Fire Brigade car. I built it as a street car, but I do have an idea for the fire brigade parts... I scratchbuilt the seat backs. The kit didn't include them but they were simple enough to make. If I were to build this kit again, I would DEFINITLY modify the mirrors. I completed it Saturday night, and I've already had to glue both of them back togther twice. I would remove the kit based mounting point and replace it with metal. I also BMFd the mirror faces. The black trim on the body is Sharpie. Sorry this picture is not as good quality. I forgot to take it when I was outside, with sunlight, and this is just camera flash in my room light.

My 50th NASCAR!! After I finish three more NASCARs, and no more Chevys, I will have built more NASCARs then anything else. I have built 53 Chevys in all. (Note: I count NASCARs all togther, I didn't originally but it's easier for me that way!) Built straight from the Kodak Olds combo. This is the first NASCAR chassis/interior that I've ever spray painted!! It's also my first Delta 88. I want to build at least one of every diffrent NASCAR kit and another one is now off the list of have nots. Cool! The Winston, Busch and NASCAR logos came from Cherry Run contngency sheet but the rest is all from the kit. I decided not to put the Kodak ColorWatch System decals on the trunk and fenders, as I thought it looked better without them, and there's a clear shot of the car in the 1987 Yearbook that shows it without them, but, the light covers are black in that photo, but silver in another. Mix and match! I also forgot to do the fuel filler. Oops! Enjoy the pictures.

Looking good! I totally changed my build...I brought home the new AMT/Model King 72 Blazer and it's almost done...it would have been done if I didn't ruin the hood, I've got it all sanded now I just have to fix it! Prime, paint, clear. Hope I don't mess it up again! Otherwise, it's done, and my entry is complete! -
Very cool Ismael! The Modelhaus kit is well worth the money!

My first resin build!! I am actually more proud of this one then most any others, simply because I actually completed a resin project!! That was my one New Years Resolution, two years running, and I FINALLY DID IT! Everything you need is provided in the kit, which costs $70. I got it at the NNL East in March. This was also the first resin project I cleaned in Bleche-white, too. Also my first use of Vacu-formed parts, the window glass. The original plan was to build Tucker #2, that I saw in Indiana in 2003, but I couldn't find a paint match for the interior. So I decided it would look better in red then brown. The paint is Tamiya Gold (2 coats) over Tamiya white primer and under Testors Model Master Lacquer (MML) clearcoat. The car was also BMFd. I decided to scratchbuild a new steering column, as the one provided is rather nasty and doesn't look a thing like it's supposed to. I used a piece of chrome plated sprue from the AMT/Model King 72 Blazer. I also used little metal tubes VW Dave gave me a while back for the exhaust pipes, which are not supplied, but the cutouts are. And that's it! Enjoy the pictures! Want to see my "Photo booth"?
