Nice work, James! -
Looks AWESOME, Tyrone I like the Mobeius wheels too. They do seem to fit better. I'll be dropping an order off soon at the trophy shop who does some laser cutting for me. I have the GMC .ai file on my PC and I could get you a couple logos cut from an adhesive-backed PVC sheet. This stuff looks pretty nice.

Thanks, Dave

If I had the ability (money) to have it etched I'd do the blade, along with throttle linkages, name -plates, slide throttle, wheel-height adjusters, push-handle mounts, etc. But then they'd cost $20 to $25 each... I need to go ahead and win the Power-ball this week. Mike, Does your riding tractor have a decent engine? I ask because I'd like to scratch-build a few items with a larger power-source than this 5 HP Briggs & Stratton... a small generator, a tailgait welder, a pump and a zero-degree turn mower. PM me when you get time, please

Thanks, Greg... sound advice a blade shouldn't be very hard to cast and a minimal amount of resin... maybe it's not needed... Hmmmm

Thanks' guys, I'm on it... will update on Friday, hopefully I can make a better set of wheels and a castible blade and bearing. Probably make a 2 gallon gas can too. I've also been thinking about other stuff to make as pick-up payloads... I have a Yeti cooler in the works. I thought about a kayak or two... Softball/ Baseball bats, balls and gloves...Golf clubs... Bags of potting soil... "Shovels and Rakes and Implements of Destruction"... a wheelbarrow... a gas or charcoal grill... ANY ideas for more ?

Hi Mike, I've been thinking about just that! Just don't know what the body, a 4 or 5 piece motor and a blade would be worth... Hmmmm...?

Mike: almost every garage has at least one JC: The wheels have a nice firm soft tire and several sizes (vinyl I guess... Trying to find pics online )

I found these at my LHS. They're Stevens International branded and there are several different sizes available. I think the largest diameter is 1/2 inch or 5/8. They're pretty nice but I may have to find something else for this mower. They may be a bit too big

bingo! More pics...

Hi Guy's, Taking a small break from the musical instruments for a bit... ( my trophy shop guy is on vacation) I recently was digging around in a few boxes from my earlier car modelling days, I found several things I made back in the day. I found something I had completely forgotten. I remember being bored and carved this from two layers of .060 styrene probably 15 years ago. I didn't want to hollow out the original, in case my "dremel-fu" skills are rusty... so out comes the mold making stuff. I made a one piece mold and slush cast a copy. Then I used my handy-dandy dremel tool to grind away the unwanted bits and do a little fine tune shaping and...: I also found a 5hp Briggs and Stratton in the old stuff from an old minibike kit. I've.been thinking about making a lawn-care company pick-up... Hmmmm...

I could be wrong, but IIRC the March, 1985 accident that took the life of Lee Shepard in Ardmore, Oklahoma was one of the reasons that NHRA mandated the use of the "Funny-Car" styled cage sections that now surround the driver. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny this but that's what I remember happening at the time. So, I think that bar hadn't been thought of yet for the car your replicating. And it wasn't in Monogram's original kit either.

Hi Greg, The local IPMS chapter ( http://www.hpmsonline.org/Contest/contest.html ) holds their annual show in October this year so I'll wait till then before spending that kinda moolah Unless my Powerball career takes off and I hit the big one!
-
hey Brad, I was looking around the vendors area at a local IPMS show several years ago, back when I dabbled in military models and lucked up and found these in 1/32 scale... they were kinda pricey even then, around $25 per set. I couldn't pass em up. I shot my whole kit budget on a set of each. Now these things are even more expensive... eurorailhobbies.com has them at $45 US each. I found out later that Preiser makes them in several scales, from 1/22.5 (true G scale) down to 1/48. Even down to HO I think but the smaller ones are one piece figures The picture don't do them justice. And to an extent they really are multi-pose. (any male left leg will mate up to any male right leg etc... ) The diorama I had in mind when I bought them never actually got off the ground but with a little cigarette paper and putty you can clothe them any way you want. Thanks for the interest and comments

thanks, Manny Brad, I have a few of these guys and gals left from an earlier project and I've got my ear to the ground trying to find more: but they are getting pretty scarce and therefor pretty expensive

looks awesome Manny!

Hi guys and gals! been awhile since I updated so.. . I've been a little under the weather but I feel a bit better today (So Far...) I may end up going an entirely different direction on constructing these next time but so far so good
