    Thanks for all comments. ;)

I have not modeling for about 2-3 years now...so I hope the inspiration will last for a while.

@ Håkan :  I´m almost done,..almost;) just the kitchen and dinner room left.

Soon I´m gonna move my model workshop to another room...a more permanet installation.

Here´s some new pics. on the injector hat. Linkage and fuel lines added.

    hope u like it

This is fantastic work! All of it. I am curious, however; What are you using for these fuel lines?

  2. As always, beautiful work, Tim! The grille is killer! Nice work area, as well. I see you have one of the racks for pliers and nippers. How do you like it? I have been considering one. Glad you were able to get in some bench time. I doubt I am alone in saying that we've missed your work!

  3. Here are a few of my recent acquisitions. I think I got the two kits for about $50, each, shipped. Some of that Revell stuff is getting kinda pricey! If you're interested in a lot of the kits from that "era", I'd suggest getting them, now. They don't seem to be getting any more plentiful. The four jaw chuck is an old Craftsman unit. It's not threaded for my lathe, but Sherline makes an adapter for the rotary table. I got it, reasonably. The 409 is from Texas 3D Customs. I was going to use it in a project I've been dabbling with, but, I may save it for another. I picked up the front axle kit from Josh at VCG Resins at a local show, today. While I have always preferred to scratchbuild my parts, I can't help but be intrigued by this printed stuff, a lot of it's really nicely done! In over 50 years as a modeler, I have to say that this is the new golden age. We've never had the resources available to us, that we have, today.

I don't know if it has ever been officially attributed, it is probably a Kent Fuller chassis - Revell had connections with Tommy Ivo, Ivo had connections with Fuller...

It is absolutely a Kent Fuller chassis! It's the same chassis Tommy Ivo's first dragster was.

You can get the Cosworth Vega engine and wheels from Canuck 3D, in the USA it would be through Geroge  Bojaciuk (who posts on this forum).  I have those parts and they are excellent quality.  Got the decals from Keith Marks (I believe).  This is the base kit I'm using

Awesome! The wheels, especially! I have decals on an old Fred Cady sheet, I think. I have some around here, somewhere, anyway. I'll see if I can get some info, from George. Thanks for the heads-up!

  6. I'm planning to do a Cosworth Vega--have been, for years. I have a couple of '75 promos, for the body. I have plenty of reference for the engine, so I can scratch that. The script on the cam cover will be tricky. I may have to find someone who'll 3-d print it, for me. Same with the wheels, although, I could do a day two car with gold tinged Minilites. AMT's Monza should provide the undercarriage. Anyway, I would not mind seeing a new (reworked) Vega kit.

This topic is a big help for me. I’m getting ready to convert my 8 x 10 walk in closet into my new hobby room.

That's about what my shop is (actually, 7'x9'). I built a bunch of wood shelves that sit on my benches. I have a paint booth, a Dremel workstation, a combo disc/belt sander, and a Sherline 4000 lathe and a 5400 mill. And, my stash, too! It all fits, and I love it, because almost everything's within easy reach. It remains a work in progress, as I keep discovering little refinements in the organization of it. If you have any questions, I might be able to help, as I have some experience with putting 10 pounds of stuff in a five pound bag!

Those first generation Camaros were tough drag cars

And, because of that, they were/are super-common racers. So much so, that some folks have referred to a lot of drag racing as "AFC racing": Another "eFfeing" Camaro!😅 They're great looking drag cars, for sure. Terry did a fine job, with this one!

Hi Daniel!  Be proud, a magnificent car. Congrats on completing an older type beauty, long within your grasp. just lacking inner strength.  You have it back!  I'm happy for you!  Mike..

Thank you, Mike! I've always appreciated your work, my friend, so that means a lot, to me! I'm kind of fishing around the shop, to see what bites me, next.

  10. Very nice save, Christopher! It's always good to see one of these built, since they aren't getting any easier to come by. Especially not cheaply.

    Hi Daniel,

I was looking for the WIP earlier and what do I find, she's under glass.  Great job and kudos to you!

Thank you, Tim! I appreciate that. It's really satisfying, to (finally) have it done! 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous, and certainly worth the wait.

You'll never have reason to doubt your skills in the future.   :D

Thanks, Bill! I'm not completely sure it'll solve that problem--but, it's a boost to the confidence, for sure! 😁 Thanks for looking!

Well, so nice to see that order has been restored throughout the world now that I've seen your recent updates Randy.  This is beyond compare and if it takes 5 more years to finish it I'd be perfectly fine with that too.  There is not one aspect of the car that you've ignored or fabricated to perfection.  I've always been a "fanboy" of your work and everyone can learn something from your builds or at the very least, be inspired.  I am.   cheers, tim

It's even cooler, in person! Yep!! I got lucky, that day!
