  1. That turned out great! I totally understand about it looking better in person. That is one reason I want to learn how to do the electric version. My original always looks better. Just out of curiosity, how many hours do you have invested?
  2. Thanks. There is a lot of good stuff there.
  3. It does say they used three layers of protection. They obviously were concerned about it. I wonder how well it held up. Mark, I think its great you work so close to it. It would be neat to see it in person, even if it is all rusted up. The lady in charge of the raising said they were going to inspect it to see if they could lift it out and how. Any word on what they found yet? I guess we just have to wait till Friday night.
  4. Coming along well. You may want to put flat black on the tail light panel so it goes well with the front (grill).
  5. This is coming along great! That Citroen looks great!
  6. WOW!
  7. I am not exactly sure what size you are looking for, but have you tried the R/M stock car tires? They can make some pretty convincing slicks.
  8. Thanks for the updates. That is incredible what you did with the windshield. Mine always look like your before picture. Glad to hear things are going better.
  9. Yes the stones are supposed to be for cutting metal, but have you ever tried it? They cut a little, then explode! They work much better on plastic. I have found that the speed depends on the plastic. For a cleaner cut, go a little faster. If you go too slow, the plastic just melts and gets "clumpy". When you have the right speed, it will, pardon the expression, be like cutting warm butter.
  10. Thats a great tutorial. I have tried several different ways, but I will have to try this one. I am currently using 3M spray adhesive, after trying the white glue & acrylic paint. I love the film canister shaker. I keep finding more applications for those things. Thanks again.
  11. I use the trusty ol' Radio Shack strapping wire. Comes in red, white or blue. I have all three. The best part is, you can color the white with a marker to get a color you want. Great stuff. $3.00 gets you like 50 feet.
  12. That looks great. I don't know if James Testors is here, but he has a 1:1 that same color (only the interior is white with the red plaid inserts). Love the stripes. The older style road wheels look good on it. Great job.
  13. Just a quick note, from what I have heard, the Rides version is the pro street version. The one pictured is the stock version. The differences between the two would be the chassis, motors, wheels & tires, door panels, dash and stuff like that.
  14. Nice build. I'm working on one now also. What chassis did you use?(I'm using the old pro stock Thunderbird.) Nice application of that decal. I look forward to seeing more of your work, you will need to put your name in your signature though. (it's like the only rule here)
  15. Yes, this kit does have potential. I want to see what you are going to do with yours. You are braver than me, I have already been looking for swapping out wheels/tires. I'll be interested in seeing your definition of quick.
  16. I just found out that the 29 rod in my avatar is available now on a t-shirt from American Racing and is on thier website.
  17. Why not combine the front of the second photo with the bed of the first? Keep us posted on your progress.
  18. Great start. The paint looks fine. Nothing a little rubbing can't fix. I like what you did with the hood.
  19. Great build. I can see why its his favorite. Love the color. What kit is that? Thanks for sharing.
  20. That looks like it goes back prior to styling snafus.(LOL) Still looks great. Nice subject.
  21. Great builds. I will be looking forward to seeing more from you.
  22. That turned out great! Nice stance. Didn't this one have a motor? Looks Great!

Here are what the centers look like.

Oh, I forgot to mention, to get the different offset on the wheels, I placed the centers in from the outside on the fronts and from the inside for the rears.
