  1. Thanks. I work for an archetect who is having problems scanning some of my renderings that are about 22x34. I just figured Kinkos would have been able to do it.
  2. Great photos. There were a lot of great cars there. No pics from the model contest?
  3. I like it so far! Great idea. I'll be watching also.
  4. Nice avatar. I was actually thinking of emailing some pics of jr's car to you when I saw it!

  5. That is a neat effect. So....you must go through a lot of 1/24 slicks. Where do you them from? Great Cuda too by the way.
  6. Wow, that is an incrediblr start! That grill is going to look fantastic, and I really like your line details on the motor.
  7. Very nice. How did you get such a good scan, and so big?
  8. Very nice. I remember that car. I'm not sure if my dad has that kit or not. So is that digital?
  9. I guess this is an example of what I want to do digitally.
  10. Great work on the BM! Most impressive!
  11. You do need to be careful. Here are some pictures of mine. It is by no means the best in any way. The motor is outside of the airstream and it uses a particulate and a 1" deep carbon bed (canister in the yop). Working for a carbon filtration comapny, I had a lot of reference to look at. I can say that while the carbon removes the solvents and most fumes, it does not remove all fumes from all paints (primers and flat black being the worse). It still needs ducted outside. The water in the bucket does not work and adds pressure drop to the fan (hence fans usually have a "in w.g." or inches of water rating to measure pressure). Be careful and be safe, there are several horror stories of booths (and houses) catching fire.

Just a quick bump for Gregg. I just finished a rendering in the art section.
  13. Thanks for the kind words Harry. The hand drawn will be my main thing for now. I will definatly try the digital also. Can't have too many toys in the box. Gregg- Your not joking about the price. Even those Wacom tablets arent' cheap. By the way, the finished car is in the "Under Glass" section.
  14. Thanks Harry. I would just love to reproduce one that looks as good as the original. It would also be nice to not have to worry about smudging (or bleeding), and an even color would be great. Harry, if you read this, do you use that wacum (forgive the spelling) pad? I have seen and heard you need one to do this type of work, but Iam doing some work for a printing company where they don't have one. Most of there stuff is manipulated photos, but I am sure they would have to drawing some thing some time. Just wondered if this would help me on the computer.
  15. I was trying to get some practice in, so I decided to try this one. The markers started to bleed a little on this one. I really have to figure out how to do the digital stuff. I am working on the rear view now.
  16. Plus I think people would actually remember the Galaxy name.
  17. That is simply incredible what you did with that kit. That you so much for all the progress updates and how-tos. I am not sure where you live at, but back when I went to Cleveland every summer, the local science museum had a couple turbine powered cars there. I believe they had one of these there, but I am not sure if it is still there. Just an FYI. Great engine detail. Thanks for the pics.

Yes, they are the seats from the 57. I sed one set here, and another in a Nova I hope to have done before too long. They fit with very little modification.

Thanks for the comments. Critter- Here is a link to Pegasus Hobbies, but again, these are not the wheels I used. I do not believe the game exists any more as it was on clearance (meaning .25 for two[2] packs containing four[4] wheels and about eight[8] centers!). The ones that are close are the "Chrome T's". http://www.pegasushobbies.com/rims.htm
  20. Thanks for the link and info. it is a great idea and a nice detail to finish off any model. I guess you are right about one thing, the key word here is "finish". (LOL) There is no comparison between the number of kits I have versus the number I have finished. Did you happen to catch the guy on the bay selling registration for model cars? You would think plates would/could go along with that. Just a thought.
  21. great job on the wheels. It is intersting to see these two side by side.
  22. It is called an "Avatar" in your settings. Just be sure that is is small enough.
  23. I am sad to say, you will need to strip it. There are several different ways to do it. You also may want to try to use a primer next time. Trust me, it helps. I had to learn the hard way.
  24. That looks great! I am glad you went with those wheels. Nice color combo. The white interior looks great with the white stripes. I also think I like it better without the roll bar. I was hesitant on mine, but I think yours looks great without it.
  25. Lookin great so far. I like how you carried the carpet from the tunnel up between the rear seats. Dash looks great. I do have a question on that. Do you grind down the back side of the dash so the gauges are not sitting 6" back from the front? Thanks for the progress shots.
