  1. Wow! That is really sharp! Great photos of the 1:1. Your hard work has definatly paid off. Georgious build. Very period correct looking. Nice details all over. What chassis did you use? Thanks for the pics!
  2. Yes, try it again. Maybe we shouldn't be allowed to give hints. I saw that in another Auto Quiz. I think guys like Peter will enjoy this when you start posting some of your harder ones. Please try it again.
  3. Wow!! Great Dio. The people really make it come to life. I really like the people in the buildings (like the one building a model). Nice looking buildings. That last pic looks real. Great job! I won't mention where I was then.
  4. Glad to see you over here. Looking forward to seeing some more of your work.
  5. Wow, good timing on this rerelease, with great box art and a truely fantastic decal sheet! Are those gray or silver stripes (I can't tell from the pic)? I will be getting one of these. Thanks for you your effort!
  6. Yes, please bring it here. I have been missing it already.
  7. Very nice! Nice look. Man, thats a lot of BM. Great job!
  8. Great paint job! How did you get the orange to not bleed through the white stripes? Nice & shiney. I love the blacked out tail light panel. Looks like a winner.
  9. Looks great! Nice & clean. What color is that? Nice color combo and stance.

Very nice! I love the motor details! Looks great! Good to see one in black (I have been working on one for a long time now). I would love to see what you did with the chassis. Thanks for the pics. Great clean building style.
  11. Welcome!! Great build you have there. Great work. Can't wait to see mor!
  12. That does have the right stance. Great project. Some times those quick builds are just what I need to keep me going. Here is an idea I already saw someone do on a model some where else. Some one did a Cobra in metalizer paint and only buffed the stripes on. Here is a pic of a 1:1 metal Cobra with that idea applied. Keep us posted!
  13. Lookin good. Great to see your still doing the flames. I didn't realize you were over here also. I look forward to seeing some progress pics.
  14. I was wondering how long it was going to take you. I saw the photo in in your album yesterday. Looking good so far. I have a very similar idea in mind for mine. I just happened to start with the same kit. I like what you did with the front. I have been trying out different hoods on mine. I think I could trade trade hoods also. Keep us posted.
  15. Wow! A really great build of a very good kit. I remember (and still have) the original version. Definetly a break through for AMT. Yours still looks great, even aged a little.
  16. Here are a couple more...
  17. Glad your back. I was wondering where you had been.
  18. Wow!!! That looked pretty rough when you started, but I think you need to put it back in the closet for a week as the paint is still rreeeaaaallllllllyyyy wet.
  19. That would be correct. To be very technical, in order to remove the solvents from the carbon, you need to put it in temperatures higher than the flash point of the chemicals you are trying to remove. There are several solvents that flash at room temperature, so in effect, if you leave the fan on when it is warm, it will slowly release some of the solvents back out, but at a small level.
  20. That is a great start. Interesting that you put pearl on it. Here is a picture of Jr's car. As you can see, it has quite a bit of yellow pearl in it. It really brightens it up. Keep us posted. Did you happen to do any body work to the front nose? I remember everyone complaining about how bad it was, and articles on how to fix it, but have to look for them since I want to start a similar one myself. It looks great so far.
  21. Looks great. Nice wheels. It is a pretty simple kit, but there are other chassis you can swap to get more detail. I have seen a few built up really nice. It looks very clean, great work.
  22. Yes, I work for a carbon filter company, so I tried one myself. While it will remove most solvents, some fumes still get through (I found primers and black paint). The water does nothing at all but provide back pressure for the fan. I still use mine, but being in the garage, I just leave the door open, and in about 1.5 hours even the worst fumes are gone. I would still vent outside.
  23. Great Overhaul! What color is that?
  24. Wow. Great project. Aggressive time frame. I'll be looking for your updates. I have a couple older Tamiya F1 cars and wow, that kit is pretty simplistic looking. Keep us posted.
  25. They moved it to the Ohio building (the round one) this year for some unknown reason. I was curious to see how many people found it. I think we had a good turn out as I was only there Friday and we had 38 entries compared to the 48 total we had last year. FYI, the contest always starts on Friday and the cars need to be picked up by noon on Sunday. The make-n-take is a complete different topic.
