  1. I used to. Then I had a couple roll off a table, then one rolled across the roof of my car (while I was opening the door to go to a model meeting), bounced on the trunk lid, bounced off the bumper and onto the ground. That ended rolling wheels for me.
  2. This will take a while to load, even with RR, but it is good if you can stand the wait. http://i4a.pocketmovies.net/movies/3d/boxitt_320x160.mpg
  3. They also built an Aluma tub after that (that my friend Eric Brockmeyer did the rendering for). Here is a link. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/features/04...n/photo_01.html
  4. I also saw somebody say the Lil John Buttera died last night. I will keep an eye out to confirm. I think we will know more tomorrow.
  5. Nice to see a ford in a ford every once in a while. Looking good so far.
  6. Very nice & clean build. Love the color combo. Great job. I also like the chassis. Looks great! Thanks for sharing.
  7. Thanks for the history on the car Rudy. I just heard it was a new car for this new season. Funny how small of circles there are in the 1:1 car world. and Mark, great idea with the turbo. I never would have thought of it, but it looks great!
  8. OK, judging by the light source, the reflection in the windows and the shadow in the background, I say real! Oh wait, wrong post. Holy cow that looks incredible, especially for a die-cast. I might be wanting to complain a bit, it looks like the spare has some wear on it. Man they are getting nice! Thanks for posting!
  9. If you do a search, I am sure you will find several ways to do it. I immediatly think of someone who cut the roof & top of the front fenders off and put them on the 71. Turned out looking pretty good from what I remember.
  10. Glad to see you working on this one again. I think youll be surprised to see what actually fits in there, although I think I would tend to lean towards a four banger (like monograms SVO turbo motor- I have plans for mine) or a straight 8 would be cool and different. Keep us posted.
  11. Wow! That is really cool!
  12. Yes, it is his new car.
  13. It is actually a 69 Camaro. The inlet to these turbos are as big as the headlights!
  14. OK, I have seen some pretty wild things, but check out this drag car under construction built to race. I might have a couple turbos from a 1/12 scale Porsce I might be able to use!! Keep your children and pets away from the front of this thing.
  15. They all look great! Good to see them over here. Welcome. Looking forward to seeing more.
  16. Mine would have to be this one.. The next up would probably be this one..
  17. While none of the ones I did of my own art are included, I did notice my first one, that I used a drawing from my friend Eric, is in there not once, not twice, but five times! I think I'm kinda hurt. To think two people choose your one, while no one picked any of the five of mine that wern't even done by me!
  18. I can remember doing snap models with my dad. I must have been around 6 when he worked a lot and I tried to finish one by myself (I am pretty sure it was a 1/32 scale duster funny car, orange with little wings on the sides). From there I joined a model club Monogram had at the time where they sent you a model every month. You never knew what you were going to get. My first glue kit was from this club and was a green T bucket. I messed it later as it also became the first car I chopped the top of. I built everything (tanks, ships, aircraft, space craft etc.) until I had my first experience with a local club. They are very specialized in military models of all kinds. They actually argued over markings on a model my dad brought that he made of one of the helicoters were he was stationed in vietnam. I figured they are way to particular and allowed no room for having fun. I really haven't gone back to anything other than cars since.
  19. My main full time job "official" title is project engineer, while I am the engineering department for our product line here at Calgon Carbon. I design all types of filtration units and filters for treating air. I also work part time for an architect where I do drafting and free hand renderings. I also do drafting for other companys (Like Sutphen and some local fab shops). I am currently trying to see if I can turn all this side work into my own company combined with doing concept renderings for 1:1 car projects (like my avatar). It seams like the car renderings can take off, so I am going to try to get a website up and give it a try. Great topic. It will be nice to see what some of you do "professionally".
  20. I put mine (when they are finished) in a display case I made from pre cut/pre finished pieces found in the shelving department of a local hardware store.
  21. A couple things influence me. What normally does every year is one that I have to do. Our club has a "Same Kit Build" every year that I try to keep as a "Have to do". After that, I have found I really need some motivation. Whether it is a kit almost done, really cool ideas to a new one or a 1:1 that seams like an "easy" build. I ave also noticed it helps me sometimes to render out what I want it to look like when done. That seems to keep me focussed.
  22. Turned out great. I really like the Cragars. Nice color combo.
  23. I like the color. Not that I am a fan of pink, but that is a nice color. Good job on the BM. I bet the exhaust took a little while to do. I can appreciate the work involved as I foiled the all the bars on my Rick Dobberton J2000.
  24. THat turned out great. I love the green!
  25. That turned out great. I saw him run that one out here at the Spring Nationals. I actually took some pictures of it. I built one too, in fact I just restored mine for the Good guys display last year. Those decals can be a pain. I remember having to put two layers of them on to get it to look right. Again, great job! Thanks for the update.
