  1. Man, I gotta get quicker. Mine take like 8 hours to do! And I thought I was getting quicker.
  2. And I removed mine to look like the one piece glass that is available for them. You can always say you did it on purpose!
  3. Very nice. I wish I could mine at car shows, but it takes me too long. Great job!
  4. I believe Tom Dillion was there also.
  5. Thanks Harry. Thats what I thought, just worded it differrently.
  6. I always thought that Hemi was short for hemispherical (being half a circle). I thought that was the shape of the top of the cylinder (the shape in the head), and it wasn't named for where the plug goes. If that is so, then most DOHC would not be a Hemi then right?
  7. That looks really nice. Proportions look good too. All that and no ginormous sink marks on the front fenders! Great job on the build! The best OOB build I have seen. Great detail painting tips. Thanks again. Mike
  8. I also think that because of the completeness (is that a word?) of the reporting, the great photos and the quality of the kit, there is little room for questions. Everything looks great.
  9. That looks really nice. The wheels really set it off. Those wheel wells can be a bit of a pain. Great job on the stance.
  10. I'm lovin the progress. I can't wait to see more. I already thanked you for making me have to buy several of these kits. My LHS said they are scheduled to get them in the next couple of days. I can't wait! Thanks again for all the great photos! Mike
  11. Looking good so far. Really like the color. I am going to try that some time.
  12. That turned out really nice. Which kit is that (R/M or Johann)? Nice little details.
  13. Thanks JayVee! That helps. My problem is the exhaust hitting the ground up front. I have a couple of little tricks I was going to try. As for out back, since it has a Corvette rear end, I was going to run the exhaust under the center section (as that part doesn't move). I am trying to find a nice combined (2 into 1) exhaust tip. Thanks again,
  14. I agree. That turned out reallllllllly nice. Sits just like the mock up. Thanks for the pics!
  15. Thanks for all the great pictures and review of this kit. I now have you to blame for having to have to get this kit! Great job so far. I can't wait to get my hands on a couple.
  16. Nice clean build. What color red is that? Nice finish. Turned out great!
  17. Do you have a picture of the bottom of the chassis? I have seen your other builds of the 37, but I don't know why this one looks lower than you others. The one I am working on is low enough that I have to run the exhaust through the chassis. It looks like they sit about the same. Thanks, Mike
  18. I sence the force is strong with you. I like the more relaxed atmosphere over here. Welcome. I also am a big fan of the B bodies. Great build. Love it. Great job on the hood.
  19. Looks like she is holding up well. It's been a while since I've seen a old MPC one. I have one I keep wanting to start, but then I remember the R/M one I also have, and it gets put aside. Gotta love those old MPC kits. Great work.
  20. Glad to see you doing another one. Haven't seen much from you lately. Great job so far. I also tend to agree with interior color. Gotta love those 37s. I am actually using some ideas from you on one I am working on now. Great job on the flames again. They just keep getting better. Thanks for the updates.
  21. Great job on the AMX! That turned out Great! I love it. Great color combo, and vinyl top. As far as having something equivalent today, did you happen to catch Steve Stanford's sketches in Hot Rod magazine a couple of months ago? Talk about making AMX cool! Here is a link; http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrd...s/photo_07.html
  22. I built the hard top back in the 80s. I seem to remember the hardest part was getting all the body pieces together (left & right body sides, left & right window area & the top & trunk) all together and in line. If you do the convertible, you wont need to worry about it. I will admitt that other than the body and interior, I did not use too many of the rest of the parts from the kit. The front seat is pretty cool. It is a bench seat that folds forward. A little time on this kit will go far. Here is how mine turned out.
  23. See, I knew someone here would know what it is. Good job Fordsixty! How/where did you ever see it?
  24. I hate builds like that. The ones you are more than glad to put aside. But it feels good to get it done. It does look good. It looks like it straightened out well. I think Keith Black makes decals for it. Glad you got it done. It does look really good.
  25. Just goes to show the great pool of knowledge here. The wide array of intrests here is just amazing. Here is a newer, kind of interesting looking little car. I wonder how long it will take someone to find this one. As far as I know, this is a production car. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
