  1. That turned out really nice. I like the stripe and all the detail. The wheels do look good. I don't think it matters how long it took, as long as it gets done. Mike
  2. Very clean paint. Always love that color. Nice clean build. Mike
  3. Wow, nice start! Too bad about the body. Looks like you smoothed it out really good. Do you think you could help me with an original 70 Charger I put auto motive paint on? Was this one you got while working on your other Camaro? Don't forget to finish that one too! Mike
  4. Very nice. I am working on one for a club build. That black around the windows is a pain! Great job on yours! Mike
  5. Glad to see it finished. It turned out real sharp & clean. I must say that black/white scheme has grown on me. Great job. Love the wheels. So.... which one are you going to finish next? Mike
  6. I looked at the inner fenders also. Now I have an idea. They look simple enough to make out of thin aluminum. Would look good with your color choice.
  7. You have no idea what you are going to do with the inner fenders do you?!(LOL) Just joking. I am sure they are going to look great. I agree about the size of the wheels on the 1:1. No problem about the link. I was actually trying to find a 56 panel van for an unrelated project.
  8. Looks like you put the wheels on the wrong truck. Look what I just found. http://www.customclassictrucks.com/feature...1/photo_01.html Just joking about the wheels. I am liking yours better.
  9. If those are the wheels I think they are... and the guy who told you about them is who I think he is... I think he will be able to help you out with the tire selection. He has been playing with them for a while now.
  10. Looking good. Nice sketch. Nothing like a picture to keep you focused. Nice color combo. Is there anyway to get a little taller tire on the rear? The wheels look good, but the rear tires look a little small. Great progress. Mike
  11. Looks great. I can't imagine where you got those wheels & tires (LOL). They look great on it. It should look real good after you get the sidepipes on it. Keep us posted. Mike
  12. Well, I went back & got that kit. I have the original version, but I figure a set of Foose looking wheels and a good motor for under $10 is a good buy. I have wanted to do 2 styles of this truck anyway. I totally agree with the funny looking grill. I like most of my street rods w/o bumpers. On my other one, I filled all the holes in the hood. That seamed to help as little. I still want to get a hold of one of those 50 something deliverys, and bash em together to make a 50 street rod UPS delivery. Yours is looking great so far. Great color. I should try painting earlier like you do, it might keep me going. Thanks for the pics. I really like the front opened up openings. Mike
  13. That is really sharp. I dont think Ive seen one done stock before. Nice & clean job. Thanks for the pics. Mike
  14. For making the hinges on the door, I have a friend who made a Ryder moving van and took some fairly thick strips of plastic, cut 2 notches running from top to bottom, then super glued fishing line into the notches, let it dry and they work great. Mike
  15. Looking good so far. I just got back from HobbyLobby and had that kit in my hands along with a 40% off coupon. Man I should go back & get it. Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress. Mike
  16. Very nice. I think some basics on PS could help. I have a friend who used to do a drawing by hand, scan it then do everything else in PS. I am pretty sure he does it all on computer now. I have enough trouble drawing on paper in front of me, I know I don't have the eye, hand, mouse coordination down. Mike
  17. Great work James. I think you accomplished you goal. Very clean build. Nice color too (I don't see too many gold cars). Great job on the interior too. Very nice. When I first saw those things on the wheel well I thought they could have been AC lines myself, but then the kit doesn't have AC. Mike
  18. Wow! An excellent build of an excellent car. Can't wait to see the review, but I'll look at these pics for now. Mike
  19. That is an excellent build of that kit. I love it. I always thought the tail lights on those kits were a weak point, but you did a great job with it. Love the rallye package. You should do well at the Nats. So I take it you are coming down? Maybe I'll see you in Newark. Will you be driving the RR?
  20. Still love this truck. Looks great! Yes that is a "punkin cover". Thanks for posting it again. Mike
  21. I don't know if it would matter since it doesn't seam like the dip stick is long enough to go down into the pan. Just joking. Seriously though, did you make that cap? Very nice... and small. Mike
  22. I agree. Real nice. Mike
  23. WOW! That is sharp. Really nice job!
  24. Man, wish I could make it. It would be about a 3-4 day drive for me. I hope everything goes well, I also hope to see some pics from the show. So... for drinks, are you going to have orange shakes?(LOL) Just joking, I hope everyone is well there. Mike
  25. Thanks for the outdoor shots. Nuch better. Great looking build. Thanks for your break down of the kit also. I just got one last night and have some plans for it before I got it (you'll see them some time soon.). I like hearing of common problem areas before I start. Great looking kit. Great job on your build. Mike
