  1. Very nice. This is a fun kit to build and I keep seeing more and more of them. Nice job on the stripes. Mike
  2. So do you get a print of Jarius' work or entering? that would be worth the price of admission! Are there any openings still left? Mike
  3. Don't know why I havent found this till now. I remember liking the rendering. Nice and simple, not too trick and I really like the 29 on 32 rails! thanks for the tip on the cross members. It is shaping up nicely and can't wait to see updates. Mike
  4. so is this 100% box stock except for some of the decals? Mike
  5. Oh my! I remember that kit. I almost forgot about that one. I did mine back around 86, so the chrome wasn't too old then. Its still stickin, but I will have to redo it soon. Heres a pic. Mike
  6. That turned out really nice. You should put up a painting tutorial for those of us that are "paint challenged". Mike
  7. You have some good ideas. Side views are good since you can use circle templates or compases for wheels and tires (probibly one of the hardest parts. At least for me). Keep at it. You never know where it will take you.

Looking good so far. I really like that color! So that is the "old" Revelogram one? It doesn't lok too bad now does it?lol. I have one too and people ask me how I fixed it when they see it. looks great so far. The only suggestion I can make, if you let me, it the flat black goes back on top of the door, below the quarter window and all the way back to the roof post. Keep us updated on this one please. Mike
  9. Wow, looks like it worked. And who said nobody reads the text?! Ha ha! Mike
  10. I knew it was going to come out as I pulled mine out a little while ago to start a restoration on it. It does have the same chassis as the Petty Charger, that was later reissued as a Street Charger, both of which I have. The petty one has a clear body. I will have to check out that Daytona conversion. that could have possibilities. Mike
  11. so, do you have a chassis shot?
  12. Holy cow that is bad! Incredible job. Love the paint, the details, the mods, heck, I think everything about it. Mike
  13. That's really sharp. Nice paint. Do you have any pictures of the motor? Also, a rear shot would be nice. I really like everything I see. Nice job on the wheels. Mike
  14. yea, I dont remember having any problems with the instructions. Sorry Jarius, I thought somewhere I saw something about you submitting something like 5 years ago. Hurry up and finish it! ha ha just joking.
  15. Cant wait to see this come together. I have one that I was going to try something on, but I want to see what you do with yours. Who knows, you may spur a couple of builds off of this thread. And Jarius, I for one cant wait to see your article. Glad you sent it in. Mike
  16. Yes, very nice and clean. I also really like that color. Wish I could get it in a can here. I like the detail you put in the headlights. Mike
  17. Thanks for the comments. Those are actually the old pegasus sleeves (that the lowrider wheels went into) and the centers are from a toy a local department store had called Hubs. I believe those started out as flourescent green. they looked like this; I also used the wheel part of the toy with chevy dogdishes on my 59 El Camino. Mike
  18. I can't believe that passed already! Man that year went fast! Thanks for all the pics! Looks like another great show! Mike
  19. Here is an old one. Mike
  20. Of all the things I have found in junkyards, I think the best was when I took my 7 year old daughter with me. While I was trying to find parts for my car, she was just walking around behind me and found one of those old GI Joes (the tall ones). She was excited as she only had a bunch of Barbies, and the owner didnt even charge us. mike
  21. I guess it depends on what you are trying to do. While I do all my stuff by hand, usually based on models, real cars or photos, I have had to trace a photo on a project where the proportions were very important as well time. I didn't look at it as cheating as much as a tool to help me get it done acurately and quickly. If you think about it, how is tracing any different from the people who photo chop stuff? I know of a professional automtive artist who traces things digitally. Granted, my opinion of him dropped a little as far as his abilities, but his stuff still looks good. If you are trying to sell pieces of art and say you didn't trace it when you did, that would be a different story. Just depends on what you are doing. Mike
  22. Nice clip. Looks like some nice stuff as well as showing the kids getting involved. I will have to try the link and see where it goes. Mike
  23. Very nice. Great set! Mike
  24. happy Birthday, and many more.
  25. Wow! that turned out really nice. I can't believe it is a Jada piece. Looks great sittin on the shelf or table. Mike
