  1. i think it looks great so far. I am liking the style, wheels & tires & stance. Quick question, how hard do you think it would be to add to the rear above the bumper (looks like it would be about 1/8") to make it smooth up & down the back to match the front? That was the only thing that stuck out (sorry for the pun) to me. Mike
  2. i have tried a couple with fairly good results. I am not an expert by any means, but used advice offered to me. I know most, if not all nail polish bottles say enamel for some reason, but are actually more like lacquer. The advice I received was to empty the polish into an airbrush paint bottle, fill the polish bottle up with thinner, shake it up good, as to clean out the bottle. Then, empty into the airbrush bottle and mix together and it should be ready to spray. Now thinner is a area for debate. I used lacquer thinner and it worked fine. I have been told you can also use, and maybe with better results, acrylic thinner. You should try mixing whatever you use to make sure it is compatable. I had fun playing around with it and the paint does dry really hard. Mike
  3. Wow, I love it. I hope to it in person. Had I of done this build, That was what I was going to do to it (since I just chopped the top off to make a jarius build). Loving it. Looks great so far. Mike

  7. I am still only scratching the surface of PS. So do you use a tablet? It would be nice to see a brief how to again. There are just so many tools it is hard to figure out which one to use and how they work. I still have yet to get the pen tool down. Mike
  8. I'm glad I came back for a 3rd look. I thought I commented on this one already. I am really liking this one. The color combo, stance and little custum touches are nice. Those head lights just keep hitting me, in a good way. I like how they fit. Very nice! Mike
  9. This is turning out great! I love the blue theme and thank you for blacking out the tail lights. Mike
  10. I am really liking your weathering! I like how it still looks wet. Nice and thick looking mud as well. Thanks for the before pics of the truck. Nice to know you didn't cover up any bad body work. Looked good before. I'll be waiting to see more of your work. Mike
  11. I made this from those shelves you get @Lowes. the outer ones are 10" deep while the ones inside are 8" (maybe its 12" and 10"). I used some metal track and glass for the sliding doors. I can add more shelves if and when I need to. Mike
  12. Great stuff! Glad to see you have kept building! Mike
  13. Man, you make it look easy! Great work, and thanks for sharing it in a way that is encouraging to others watching it that think we could never try it. Looks like it is going to sit just right when done! Mike
  14. Love it! One of, if not the favorite one of yours. You sould post some of the in progress shots you have, especially on how you did the billboards! Great to see it again! Mike
  15. I hope I am not letting anything out of the bag, but here is a quick sneak peek at the idea behind this one. It is not completed, but you get the idea. Mike
  16. Great stuff! really like your style! Mike
  17. Yea, I am a little cunfused. This is the motor that came with my Sox & Martin kit. I see the box in the background, but I think even the stock version had a HEMI.

looking good so far. I remember those decals being a pain too. the black looks good on that green. Did you use BM on the trim? Looks like a really good job. Mike
  23. First, let me say that for the money, an investment in a commercial paint booth is worth the money. With that said, if you do try to make one yourself out of parts laying around, pay particular attention to the fan motor. If it is anywhere near the paint fumes you do need an explosion proof motor, period. You can find them at affordable prices when you look to see if it is rated as TFEC. Brushless fans have this rating, but you will need to make sure that style fan is after your filter as anything getting into the blade will stop it from spinning eventually. Basically, you need it to be spark proof. With that said, the easiest way is to get the motor out of the airstream (like the style on Aaron's). I built this as an experiment to see if carbon would remove the fumes from painting. I already had the fan and filter from work, and the cabinet was part of my garage collection, so this cost me less than $100 ($90 for cabinet{actually it was a gift}, $5 for the light and $1.50 for the newspaper.). We used to buy these from Grainger if I remember correctly for about $30. There was just recently a story of a guy being rushed to the hostital from using a home made spray booth using a range hood(after using it for years with no problem). Here is what I ended up with. Oh, in case you are wondering, while the carbon does work very well, there are some paints (primers and black for some reason) that it does not remove all the harmful fumes and should still be vented outdoors. Mike
  24. Nice stuff everybody. Mr. Obsessive, I always enjoy seeing that Dayona. Heres an oldie.
