  1. Wow, great job so far. I have a little suggestion. I like what you are doing so far and I see what you are doing to the rear. One thing that might help unclutter the rear is to move the exhaust to under the licence plate. The rectangle that you already have in place is what I was originally planning on using, though I was struggling with using round ones since both Ferrari and Vetts have them. It could look like the newer Vetts if you put some space between the two sets of 2 outlets. Just a suggestion. Keep it up. How do you find the time to get so much done every day?! Mike

  3. This is coming along very nice! I especially like how you handled the tailights! Great job so far. Mike
  4. Not sure if this will work.... http://www.viddler.com/failblog/videos/2687/ Mike
  5. I am honored you choose one of my drawings as a basis of one of your builds. This one was one of my favorites. Combining the the styles of the Vette and the Ferrari lends itself to a lot of ideas. Thanks for posting pics and keeping us up to date. Looks great so far! Keep us posted, Mike
  6. Just got mine today. Lots of good stuff. Only had a chance to give it a once & twice look over. Thanks for the Z-ing article Jairus. I don't know how many times I have tried to explain that to people. Mike
  7. Thanks Jairus. Not sure how you got it so fast. I can't find it anywhere over here yet. Mike
  8. Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the Testors/Fujimi kit? Maybe I missed it, but I saw you were comparing Monogram and arii. I have 2 of those (one a convertible) and the old Monogram race car version. MIke
  9. Heres an old one I did. I didn't even fix the front pan. I was just having fun with this one. A little weekend warrior. Mike
  10. Wow, I thought someone else would have to have that idea. I am almost finished working up a concept of one kind of like this. PM me if you would like to see it so far. Mike
  11. Very slick way to correct the cover pieces. Plus it is close to 1:1. If it helps, there was 1 square bar that operated both headlight doors from a motor in the middle. So you could make them open together & be accurate! Nice job. Mike
  12. Wow!! Its almost a shame to cover all that beautiful work up with a body. This is just amazing. Thanks for all the pics. Mike
  13. I like the progress so far. You have done a lot of nice work and I am getting tips as you go. I would like to offer a tip at this point you are at. For some reason, I am not sure why, but the photo etched headlight doors appear to need a backing on them. You can not see through the headlight doors on the 1:1. Once again, I am not sure why they did that, but at least you are not too far along to correct it. I am looking forward to watching your progress. Keep up the good work. Mike
  14. Looks like a cool project. The orange one was designed by Thom Taylor and is called a truckster. Here is an article explaining them and how "easy" they are to make. http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/featuredvehicles/0803rc_trucksters_explained/index.html Keep us posted on your progress. This looks like it will end up very cool. Mike
  15. Yea, I feel bad as well. I even had an easy one! I just had too many things going on. There are a lot of nice looking ones I will post my pics here as well if it keeps going. Mike
  16. I think the old MPC funny car kits had piston tops in cylinders on the block and detail on both sides of the heads. I had a couple, but have lost some detail from the good ol' tube glue. Mike
  17. For the console, I am using one from the older MPC 74 Charger That I happened to cut out to put a bench seat in one of. The 71 Roadrunner also has one you need to cut out. I will have to check my kits on the tranny, but just from memory, I think I will start with the 70 Super Bee/68 Roadrunner kits. Hope this helps, Mike
  18. Here are a couple of ideas for haulers. As far as the pics of the opposite gender is concerned, You really can't make the argument of "everyone else is". We do have to remember people of all ages and genders visit here. There should be some taste and standards to posting pics. Just remember, if you wouldn't show it to your mama, don't post it here. With that said, I do hope this would be allowed. I couldn't resist. After all, everyone else was doing it. I hope this doesnt get me banned for being too racy. So lets get back on topic of this off topic thread. Thanks, Mike
  19. Here are some I have seen. Mike
  20. ...and it looks like I am missing half the fun again. I see we are on page 3. Mike
  21. Speaking of vans, have you seen this? I thought of this when I saw somebody's post on supervan. Mike
  22. A good friend gave me a tip of using the gauge photos from web sites like Jegs and Summit. You can play around to print them in the size you need, then just mount behind a piece of clear acetate. Check it out. Best of all, its free. Mike
