Heres a couple. I found some more.

Thanks Sean. That is the plan. The big problems are 1.) somebody tried to make my vVega look like yours, only it was the stock kit, so they cut the rear wheel wells up and hand painted the stripes. 2.) My Pinto is packed up. It does have alot of the parts in it to make it. I can't wait to have time/space to model again. Mike

Just wondering has anyone started on the pro street 67 chevelle?
mikelo replied to fishdatty's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Hey, I found it. I was able to get it standing on the suspension and snap a shot of it. Still needs a lot of work, but you can see the direction. The panel between the tail lights and the front grill are going to be black and I still have a little stripe to put on the scoop over tyhe break line. Mike -
I will have to check this out when I get home. I can't see some pics here at work. I know Sean used a body from Mike's Miniatures for his build. Here is a link. http://homepage.mac.com/ssven5/Sites/Svensworldofwheels/images/66novapage.html Mike

Very nice. You have some ideas I wanted to do to mine. Great color. Mike

Here is a shot of mine before paint. I can try to get a pic tonight if I can dig it out. I think the kit sits too high, but I think everything sitts too high. lol I will see if I can get it tonight. It looks a lot different paited up, and it's not even done yet. Mike -
I actually had a few projects going on with several of these. I have an older Vega that I need to repair the wheel wells on since somebody turned it into a Grumpy's Toy. I hope it ends up looking something like this. Marc Nellis has completed one very cool pro touring version as well. I have a 75 Pinto runabout as well that I plan on turning into this. This on is still in original condition. I also have a pro street version of the old Chevy Monza (started) and 2 kits of the even older (I think) Chevette kits I am still making plans for. Now that I think about it, I have one of the Pinto wagons as well, but I turned it into a wreck since I lost some parts, and I was young. The bad part is everything is packed up in hopes of moving sometime. Mike

I think the pink looks great. I don't know when I would be able to around to mine, but maybe that pink could find it's way onto another build. Looks great & thanks for sharing! Mike

I am really liking this one so far. I did not realize the Monogram kit looked so good. Very impressive. Well, until I got down to the carb. It will get covered though, so no biggie. Or I could just replace it. I like the interior co0lors as well. I remember sitting in one of those and that silver vinyl/leather. Mike

Yes, I can see that now. I like the factory look. It turned out really nice looking. It looks like a very doable "what if" build. Nice job on the stripes. Mike

Chevrolet 1954 Station Wagon "sketchpad october 2010"
mikelo replied to zelkam's topic in Model Cars
That turned out great! I like how you captured the rear tailgate. It does look like there has been a few of these going on. It is a kit with a lot of potential. I can say there is another one I know of, that I don't believe has started yet, that is totally different from this one that I worked on a drawing for. I don't want to let any cats out of the bag though, so I will wait for him to unviel it. Great job on the chrome grauds on the quarters, the fenders and the grill! Mike -
Well, I can't see the pictures here at work, but I will have to look at them tonight when I get home. Just from reading the comments, it reminds me of the Steve Stanford/Steve Strope Nova you can see here. http://www.hubgarage.com/mygarage/steves/vehicles/2775 Mike.

Sorry, I meant literally. There is over 2lbs of bondo on the body. I tried to hollow it out, but without much luck. Could account for the low stance. Mike
-
Funny this came up. I started on one when this kit first came out. I grafted on a Dodge Caravan roof I cast out of bondo onto the back. Lost intrest, and I couldn't figure out how to lighten it, so it still sits like this. Glad I could find it. Mike

I'm diggin the shaker scoop. Keep us posted. Mike

Very good observations Robert. While they are similar, they are different as far as the Pete is more "segmented" while the Ken is all one piece. Funny you mentioned the mirrors. That is one thing that has received a lot of good feed back. The hieght of the seats and the position of the mirrors makes it so the driver looks down into mirror making it easier to see further forward along the truck. I am not sure on some of the styling cues either. especially the "cats eye" headlights. Mike

Check this out... waterproof fire truck!

I like how they kept the wipers on! I believe the inletsnorkle is behind the cab and in front of the body. Take a look as it goes by and you can see a black tube running up, but I couldn't see the top. Mike
