  1. Forgot about the amplifier part. Dang memory going again. And de-emphasis? I've recorded songs from a turntable onto my laptop before. Not sure what it is, can you fill me in?
  2. Wow. That's a lot of work.
  3. Okay, so this lump is a basic boat shape. Once it gets to the "leather-hard" stage, I'll be able to shave it down smoother. Then, I'll be able to form plastic panels around it and somesuch. Maybe it's more of a speedboat shape? I don't know. I'll have to think of a name. Maybe I'll just take a Forrest Gump and brush paint "Jenny" on it. Or "Gwen"
  4. A hot rod inspired car... With one pipe coming out of the side and not four...
  5. The tuners that are just show are whack. You'd be amazed how fast and efficient a four-banger tuner is with a turbo and weight-reductions.
  6. Hooray for 67 Mustangs!
  7. Seeing you do a build makes you seem more... common Looks fabulous.
  8. They could've put in the instructions on how to make a stock version... Like "drill here and add part number (gas cap)" and "use part number (stock doors) for non-drag version..."
  9. Saw a 60s Chevy regular bed with prostreet tires.
  10. I second this. Walmart works for this too; buy a big pack of Equate (Walmart) brand brushes for a few bucks and you'll be set for a bit.
  11. How much are these now, anyways? I got mine years ago.
  12. He's a rock band? No, it's the Dropkick Murphys from good ol' Beantown.
  13. And, as a sidenote, does anybody know if Laguna Seca has like an open track day? Pay a price and go a few laps?
  14. Hint: the only modern rock band I know of that has an accordion player
  15. See, that's what I liked about the original Eunos roadster. It was a driver's car. Besides that, I thought it looked good.
  16. So I like the Mazda Miata. But, the Miata, sadly, is not invincible from the new "thin headlights, weird swoopy lines" thing that's happening to cars. Looks like a droptop sucker fish to me now. Photos via Car and Driver
  17. As a person from Maine, I have to say "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, yepyepyepyep...."
  18. With a maximum of, say, four people, I think this could work. Four people agree to a build-off and put their cars on the line. Maybe just throw in a couple bills with your car. Have a build topic for the group's cars, then when they're finished, put up a poll. Winner takes all!
  19. It scares me, and not in a good way. To each his own. I'm sure I could find a reasonably abused old Mustang for the price of this, but I only say that because I like cars that are a little squarish.
  20. Bust outta work, it's a quarter past five Time to round up the gang, take the red to the Orange line
  21. I'm thinking of scratchin' an engine for this. Anyways, I put some putty on the hood about an hour ago after sanding the flares off it. Now I'm off for a nap.
  22. Model Master Italian Red may or may not be cheaper than Tamiya's. I shot one coat of it on a Porsche and it came out beautifully shiny, even where I sprayed it in the basement.
  23. It's like some kind of Rat Fink thing watching you do these figure builds.
  24. I was just about to say that about the upside-down doohickey.
  25. Come along Into the city Where the girls are pretty And you can't go wrong
