  1. Three more Hawaiian shirts and a big rig game for Win98.
  2. But it says, "Inside and out, an exact replica of a great automobile!" I can tell a lot of things are wrong with that car. Terrible. At least they're not defrauding people with a 1:1 picture.
  3. I think what it is with the box art and determining if I'm going to buy it is that the box model is what the company thinks is an accurate depiction of the kit within. If the model on the outside is built or painted wrong, that makes me belive that the model company thinks "half-assed is good enough." It says to me that maybe they'd think the same about flash issues, parts fitting right, etc. -2ยข from my account
  4. I was going to say that, but I was hesitant as the first line didn't sound like it. The Thorogood song goes... "And gazed in wide wonder At the joy they had found The head nurse spoke up And said, 'Leave this one alone'"
  5. When you find out someone's been in the model room and moved stuff
  6. When you finally find that part you dropped on the floor a month and a half ago
  7. As for me, sometimes when I'm not too distracted I can make a straight line with a welder Just kidding. It's important to be good at some things, especially tech stuff like that. Moreso than ever for me since soon I hope to be working on my car.
  8. Correct. Not sure if it was in PF. Never noticed it during the 20 some-odd times I've watched it
  9. Honestly, I have to trust box art. All the new kits that are tangible and available to me are I'm either my LHS or Hobby Lobby, sealed in plastic. I can't rip it open to see if the contents are accurate, so going by the box art is what I need to do, almost a verification from the producer that the product within is good. That's why the Firebird turned me away.
  10. Guess it showed a lack of the company's care for their image. Carelessness.
  11. Missed the bus today and got to go to Bangor with my family
  12. Had a good lunch at Dysart's: strawberry shake, and a bacon chicken burger.
  13. Would you rather push the buttons And be feared by all humanity?
  14. Oh, your hair is beautiful Oh, tonight...
  15. I started the Scout II's frame this morning. It's Evergreen C-channel, either 1/4 or 1/16, I can't remember right now. I've got nearly half of it down.
  16. Got a couple nice shirts at Goodwill yesterday. One Hawaiian, another orange button-up shirt, five bucks for both! Today I got up early and made French toast for breakfast.
  17. That tan rifle is way more rounded than the pictures show. I've since painted it all black. I also made a 1928 Thompson, an MP40, and a Mini-Uzi, but I have no idea where they went!
  18. The most I've ever spent on a record is $17.97 for a brand new orange pressing of No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom. Sounds so much better than the CD I have. I usually pick up records at antique shops or Goodwill for about a buck apiece in decent condition.
  19. On the Revell '78 Firebird box, the tail lights are painted badly. I think it was a Cuda I saw with the wonky seal painting.
  20. I don't expect anything to change, anyways. It won't.
  21. Yeah! Great song.
  22. I wonder if one of the other sites has a separate pickup section. If we lump pickups/vans in with cars, and merge the trade/wanted sections, then I may well leave.
  23. Oh, and delete the big boys section. I don't really see a point in it, especially since their completed builds just get lumped into the other guys' Glass section.
  24. I can see a few things wrong with that. There are a lot of builders here who are strictly truckers, and other who just like cars. Mixing the sections would mean a whole lot of traffic there. People love to complain around here, and you can be sure as shootin' that they'd complain about that. Like I said before, keep everything the way it is, just break up the trucker's wanted and trade sections!
