  1. I think it's funny how people can speak the language, but not spell correctly, form complete sentences, or understand simple written directions these days....
  2. Some people, eh? If you're getting something, wouldn't you try your hardest to get it right, especially if someone else was making it? Funny world.
  3. I had myself a nice little leisurely stroll through this thread today. Nice to see a bunch of people get angry at each other here, isn't it? Y'know, we all like the forum, and it's kinda dumb to argue here, being as how you'll make enemies of people, and then you'll have to keep "seeing" them around here... Whatever. As for the topic... I haven't bought a Moebius model. Too expensive for me. I haven't seen anything too interesting of theirs anyways. What it boils down to for me is if the model is interesting and not too damaged for me to build it. The only real way I'd know if there was one of these "glaring flaws" is if I knew the 1:1 car well (like that cr-p Lindberg GT6+) or if I looked up pictures of it, which I only do in the instance of customizing. PS: even though I don't like the darned thing, I looked up pictures of that Revell Mustang roof. I can't tell how it's different than the real one, even when it was sized up to it! Apparently, it's too high, but whatever...
  4. Got hit in the eye twice with molten pieces of plastic, glued a bunch of hair to my thumb, and lost a turbo I had just made. Oh well...
  5. Can't wait till tomorrow when we can actually start! I changed my project and I dug it out already, also some of the parts for it. Still have to figure out suspension, but that's what Google Images is for!
  6. I've seen Rat Race, but never this. Have to check it out.
  7. Did you see the name in the lyrics?
  8. If you're aiming to make it look like it came straight from the junkyard, maybe... Write a number on the windshield, or "Ford Taurus, no exhaust, $300..." Garbage in the interior... Missing hubcaps... Broken headlights/taillights/hanging door mirror...
  9. Sidenote: what's the price for a Lindbergh Rammunition? I saw a bunch at Goodwill, new, unopened, for $15 or $13. They had Hawk diecasts too, the '49 Mercury coupe, convertible, and Cuda for $13.
  10. As he faced the sun, he ____ __ ______ When they took his soul, they stole his pride **Dang, I hope nobody saw it... If you did, don't say it
  11. I was thinking more of Tony Montana when I got it... Cock-a-roaches.
  12. I love me some surf rock, I tell you what. But that song, nah. Just ain't good compared to the Ramones version.
  13. So why all these Ferrari and Lambo kits, then?
  14. Those were called "Fresh Cherries." They still make them, but I don't know if they were in 1/24. They do em in 1/87 for us HO scale railroad people. Of the ones I know, there's a Pinto Cruiser Wagon (the panel wagon with the round windows in back,) a Mercury Bobcat, a Pacer, a Gremlin, and a '71 Sportsroof Mustang. **EDIT** I stand corrected. There were 1/24 scale diecasts of them. Carry on. They're all made by Motor Max. Here's a pic of a Pinto.
  15. Welly has a diecast new Scirocco. Not bad looking, but I want a new Porsche Bug. Don't those new Beetles look really good?
  16. Not an actual Hawaiian shirt, but in the style... $5! I've gotten about four or five similarly priced Hawaiian (one actually a made in Hawaii) shirts from the same store.
  17. So I found a Sega macro controller, an Oasis CD, and a Hawaiian shirt at Goodwill.
  18. We're going to Goodwill!
  19. You clowns listen to pap like Led Zeppelin and put down the Ramones
  20. Oh, geez.... I'm glad the Ramones came around to do their version! That one is horrid
  21. It was the Ramones, California Sun. They were never super-popular, but extremely influential. They also did Blitzkrieg Bop, Sheila Is A Punk Rocker, I Wanna Be Sedated, Rock and Roll High School...
  22. Earliest popular punk band?
