  1. That's a cool concept, and some great work gone on here. . i turned mine int o a panel van. (sedan delivery).
  2. Have thought of that, but as it is a sleeper build i might have to put a scoop in the roof, i did a Combi with a cosworth v8 a few years ago, and that had side scoop , but would be to noticeable on this themed build. The engine bay will prob become a fuel cell on this one. Will keep scratching the head though, thanks for the input too.
  3. Thanks mate, the wheels are just sitting there loosely at the moment, i think ( hope) they will clear better when finished. It will be interesting, glad i have plenty of time to sort out all these questions, but i think a separation barrier inside is the go, as for the rest, i will be doing quite a bit of google search to see what i can come up with. Thanks too Carl and Ira.
  4. Thanks guys, well, back to this one for a bit, i redid the wheels, painted the ferrari sleeve red, it looks a lot better now with the red wall look. No room for the Ferrari suspension, so doing a solid diff set up, and now need to work out some sort of spring set up too. Exhaust was the easiest thing to make work i think.
  5. I have a small update, have not touched it for a while, as i have a couple of builds on the go. To get interested again, i started by playing with the wheels again, so i did the Ferrari outer sleeve red, and slipped the chromies back in, it disguises the size a bit more, and adds that red wall look. and working on a diff set-up, as there is zero room for the independent rear.
  6. That does look great like that. Some people have spent days getting a body to look that weathered , and so good.
  7. Very nicely detailed build, looks great.
  8. Very nicely done.
  9. I forgot about these ones, ECTO-1 for ya.
  10. This is a very nicely detailed build mate. And i love that exhaust work.
  11. Monogram 59 Baritz Cadillac, just slammed a bit. ( A very well detailed kit to build. )
  12. That first pic looks REAL!! SUPERB job on the weathering mate, and the dio really sets it off i think.
  13. All of my bad ones become good ones eventually when i could not afford to buy new kits, eventually, they all get a make over, even now, i like to build 1 new kit, then do a rebuilder .
  14. I just love to paint with Automotive Acrylics, the result can be superb, BUT , i hate using decals with a passion, i can never make them look any good, they usually end up in the bin, then i go out and paint the stripes or flames etc on instead. But i DO LOVE MODELING!!
  15. Duplicolor, until i recently sprayed my 1:1, and now i have a bottle mixed up from the left overs, ready to go straight through the Airbrush. ( Valspar )
  16. The best thing about being an Aussie, is most of the kits i build, are American based and i have never seen a PERFECT example in the flesh to compare it too, all the examples i see are modified and at a car show, so pretty well all kits are a spot on good starting point to me. (there have been the odd one that is just munted though.)
  17. WOW!! That is simply stunning, the paint, the stance and everything else about it,
  18. Now that looks AWESOME Stan, it would top off nicely if you added some of the GTS bonnet and boot stripes in a white or silver....maybe??... (That's hood and trunk to our American friends. ).. Beautiful paint job mate.
  19. A great custom build Tom, awesome work mate.
  20. That is some serious looking beast, great imagination, and very well done, love all the little details too.
  21. I agree 100 % Beyond thunderdome had NOTHING to do with Mad Max really, it was Hollywood trying to hijack the title, and cash in with big $$$$$$$$$$, but the first 2 sh@t all over their big dollar fail.
  22. If it was set in Australia like the first 2, (ONLY 2 ) it would not be hard, bit like finding a Camaro in the USA.
