  1. I've been to the Gen. Patton museum. It has pretty interesting stuff there. Lots of cool old military iron on display.
  2. My grandpa had a mid 80s Olds 98. He loved that land yacht.
  3. I'd switch the rims and out, like most of my builds. I just like the look of the trailer.
  4. These look really cool. They look more sinister and monster like than the originals. Well done.
  5. I think I'm done for now. I got my tax return and wanted a couple of that I've always wanted. Figured it's now or never. I'm still searching for a Beall tanker. Doubt I'll find 1 for a decent price.
  6. I just scored this. I'm gonna swap the engines from this and Bill Signs pete.
  7. Here's a couple of Monster energy videos, of Ken Blocks Hoonigan teamate. Ballistic BJ Baldwin. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmh-ew1swD4 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yfm23jC_c5E
  8. Now maybe I'M off my rocker. But this looks like absolute pure fun to me. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmh-ew1swD4 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wnSaziUkByU
  9. Wow, as more time goes by, this cars storied past gets better and better. This is quite a history lesson on this rare gem.
  10. Good luck with your build. It's a very nice kit. Watch for the cab mounts, they have tendency to get "goofy". I had to lower the front mounts on my Lonestar to get the cab to sit level and the hood to line up properly. Welcome back to the hobby. Don't be afraid to ask me or anybody questions.
  11. One of these days I'm gonna stop by their yard and ask to look around and take pics. I unload not to far from them from time to time. I've seen the actual truck, from the road, in their shop. It looks pretty good for being an older work horse. They 367s, 388s and 389s now with the emissions regulations and what not. They haul a lot of oversized stuff, not just equipment. They have a bunch of crane parts in their yard. And yes Terry is right, the kit and 1:1 is a 359. It's the same cab and hood as the Can-do and Will-do wreckers with the opening doors. I need track down a 3408 for mine. I want to at least make that correction. Possibly the hood too, guess I'll figure that out once I start on it.
  12. On a Chevy, it's usually the front top of the intake on the passenger side and the passenger side or top of the water pump.
  13. Guess I've learned more than just how to build a model better. I've improved my knowledge of kits too.
  14. Yes they do. The spread axle drives, frame ramps, bigger rear ends, and float steer tires are what make it a heavy haul truck. In its day when Revell kitted it, it was the poster child for working show trucks.
  15. There were some very nice builds there. Congrats to everyone.
  16. Rare, kitted only once. It does have issues, but it's really the only kitted heavy haul truck. Besides all that I have always liked it. I'm sure others can give better reasons as I'm a rookie at collecting kits.
  17. This gonna be a great lookin build when your done. I've always liked these old cars like this. I've been a bit intimidated on building one. I'm gonna give it a go with a Bugatti Royale, one of these days.
  18. Your doin a fine job on this. Very nice work. Great detail work.
  19. Lookin good man. I have Christine in my stash. Your doing a great job on her.
  20. Thanks guys. I'm really trying to take my time and do this up right. This is a pretty good amount of bashing parts, at least for me anyway.
  21. I ordered stuff a few months ago, order came through in a decent amount of time. I know they have been having health issues and stuff. I hope they are doing well. They have some great stuff. I was gonna be ordering from them in a few months again.
  22. Dude that looks awesome. Very well done.
