  1. Thanks Gator and Carl. I got the landing and suspension units ready for a coat silver to match the truck. The pieces that are missing from these, the small stuff, I brake cans, slack adjusters, crank handle, shafts and gear unit will be blue to match.
  2. A few more....
  3. There ya go man. These are just amazing. You my friend have some serious styrene skills. I'm sure the redo of the orange car will be spectacular.
  4. A 1:1 SS, the turn signals are in the upper valance, like the Baldwin Motion and the 70 1/2 Camaro?
  5. That Camaro SS would be great, even though box art isn't a SS. But a Carmaro kit with the turn signals in the lower valance would be nice.
  6. I had a few builds at a show recently. This show I was given the score cards at the end of the show. I was docked for the hoods being closed. So I given a score of 0 for the engine. My questions is.. 1. At a show, do I display the build with the hood open or closed? 2. Do the judges open hoods and doors if they are closed? 3. Do the judges handle the build at all? Thanks to all who answer.
  7. Thanks guys. Kenny, I did buy a ticket, actually 20 of them. Didn't get a single number. But, can't win unless you play.
  8. I had taken my trucks to the County Fair about a month ago. With the birth of my son, I missed the fair. I went and picked up my builds, to find out I won Best of Show! Out of 12 trucks, not all mine, it won. Actually I Best of Show, 1st and 2nd in class. I had 3 in the truck catagory. And my Ca hauler, lowboy and excavator won 2nd in misc. My green KW took 2nd. Here's a pic of the truck that won.
  9. I just noticed the tandems are too far back for Ca. I'm gonna cut the indicating pieces off the suspension and move them forward to at least to the 5th hole from the front.
  10. I hope he takes after me in that sense. My wife really likes video games. I do not like them. Today he was actually in his bassenette next to me while I was working on the trailer for my Volvo.
  11. Thanks Kostas. I can't believe I managed to get a little bench time in today. I got the trailer started. It seems to be just as nice to put together as everyone says it is and just like the other Moebius trailer. The only part that's painted as of now is the roof, the rest I'm gonna spray next time I get to work on it. I'm using the swing doors, no reefer and I'm gonna make some aero skirts.
  12. Hey, looks great. I might pull the bumper off and paint it silver or aluminum. Just a suggestion. I like how you switched out the wheels for Moebius. The trailer just hit shelves in the last week or 2.
  13. Figured the Petes and Cabover were getting so much love, why not give the KWs some love. Here's my contribution.
  14. Awesome work. Works perfect. If it weren't for the roundy round in the back ground, I could almost see that as a video from a drag race.
  15. Very nice. Looks great.
  16. Nice start man. I have a glue bomb Italeri trailer I want to do this to. I'll be watchin.
  17. Man, I sure like them old IH COE. I need to get my restoration out and start on it, see what I'm missing. That's a good lookin truck.
  18. Way cool. I dig it. I imagine this was your inspiration or just a cool coinsidence. As far as trailer. Your in luck with Revell auto transporter getting reissued and out on the market now. Again. Great job, I like it.
  19. Guess GM lied on my 1:1. My 1:1 is a 98. The last year of 5.7 in the 1/2 ton p/u. GM kept that body style in production till 2000. The old body style was used for 99 and 00 for the 1 ton platform. I know this because I drove a 1 ton stake bed for a lumber yard and my dad had 1 ton, 4 door, longbed, 4 wheel drive. The stake bed had a 5.7 in it, but it was a 1 ton.
  20. 1. 67 non prostreet Nova 2. Kenworth K100 3. 88-98 Chevy pu 4. 67-72 Chevy shortbed 5. 73-87 Chevy pu (correct front suspension)
  21. I hear ya. Still a shame, but it didn't get buried in a landfill or used as a toy then the landfill. Kind of a, if I can't have it, no one will. I think that's much better too.
  22. It's alright man. I've been on here a little over a year and still learning. Thank you for the kind words. Just for grins. Since your reletively new. Here's a link to all of our 2014 builds. Some really good stuff. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96888&page=1#
  23. Man. I'm speachless. Outstanding. Too bad you don't have it. I hope it's not in a landfill somewhere. That would not be a proper retirement for a build of that seriousness.
  24. He quoted it. It's mine. Thanks guys. It was the second truck I started after 10 years. Here's a link to under glass thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=93657&page=1
