  1. From what I could find, so far, was 72 was the last year of the 289. It was only used on the small window years, 67-72.
  2. I think this was kitted after Pete quite the 2 axle separation numbers. I'm sure what year the 289 number was stopped.
  3. Welcome Don. The level of excellence here is mind blowing. As long as your happy with what you build, that's all that matters. Happy modeling man.
  4. Funny you say that about the tires Kurt. I'll be ordering 6 for this. PM me with the price and I'll get paid this weekend.
  5. Well again work spoiled my momentum today. Oh well. I get more done later or this weekend.
  6. I got the chassis started. I'm gonna shorten this up about a half inch. Then slam it in the weeds.
  7. That's a badass K100. I'm glad to see I'm not the only driver that takes pics.
  8. Started cuttin this mornin. I cut the sleeper off so far. Next I'm either gonna make the cab panel or cut on the frame.
  9. Sounds like you have plan. Lookin forward to seeing more on this.
  10. I'll have to check them out one of these days.
  11. That's the plan. I'm not exactly sure how I'm gonna go about it. But I know I'm spraying the yellow first.
  12. As long as work doesn't call me in, I'm gonna start on this tomorrow since I have the day off. I want to at least get the sleeper cut off and frame cut down, maybe even start on the suspension.
  13. This is my next project. Starting with a Revell snap Pete. Gonna do some choppin and cuttin to make it a 2 axle day cab. No stretch, but it will be slammed. The paint will resemble the inspiration. I want to replicate the 1:1, if it were a 359, not a 379. Here's the inspiration. I'll be startin on this in the next week or so. I need to get all the parts together, into 1 box. I have everything, I think, here at the house. The stacks, bumper, visor and stainless strip.
  14. I think you somehow found a giant penny. There's no way this is a model, I'm convinced. I think we're gonna see this runnin down the drag strip when your done. The level of detail your putting into this is beyond words. I think either you own a straight jacket or will need one. Excellent work man, outstanding!
  15. The way I see it. If a truck really is that close, he didn't see the car get in front of him. Which means the car cut him off. I'm not saying that's exactly what happened, I don't know what type of truck it was in question. Out here, usually if that happens, in traffic and the truck driver knows the car is there, they're usually container haulers, or as I like to call them, Harbor Rats. In the high traffic L.A. area, the Harbor Rats are bad. I know time is money, but it's not that important. They are flying down the road or goin too slow in the wrong lane.
  16. Nice build! Looks very cool, stance is just right. Well done.
  17. Looks great JT. This will be a sight to see with the transporter behind it. Very nice, well done.
  18. My biggest gripe about Testors, is they have released almost every one of the old Boyd colors, under a different name. But they haven't released any version of the Chezoom Teal. I really like that color.
  19. 1973 camaro. Still have it. Small block 406, 411s in the rear, rollbar, and a real kick in the pants. I love that car. I really like rolling through the grocery store parking lot around 2000 rpm, setting car alarms off. Good times!
  20. Dude, your Killin me. Again I'm in awe with another one of your builds. Awesome man.
  21. The 367 and trailer I'm gonna build for it will be just over 5 feet. I doubt I'll have a display for it.
  22. Same here, no Mack. Went to 3 along the way home today and tonight.
  23. It takes awhile. I usually let it sit, untouched for 2 weeks. It's real touchy even then. I've found with Rustoleum brand chrome, it takes as long to dry but isn't as touchy. It can be tricky to spray evenly to prevent the metallic from seperating, looking like cracks.
  24. Thanks for help. I'm gonna get the rest they had and the other discontinued colors that look good.
