  1. FAR OUT!
  2. Why is it we can't just enjoy the build for what it is. A skillful exercise in resin, styrene and plastic sculpting. I may not dig the subject but I can not but help to take pleasure in John's creative abilities! If you don't like the build, stop looking at it. And for the love of GOD stop posting in the thread!
  3. Need a good source for some material or decal to cover a few seats, 1/25 scale. Any suggestions?
  4. Final paint, Hot Rod primer, dull clear and I tried something different for the roof. Tamiya Candy Lime Green base with Clear Orange top coat.
  5. Another good'n!
  6. Purdy! Real purdy, John.
  7. This is an outstanding build, you've done a great job. I'm sure the truck guys will help you out with the wheels. I know there are out there.
  8. Looks great John, but I want to see those headers!
  9. Very nicely done, I have one of these in the line up. Need to polish the glass, pretty scratched up you know!
  10. Styrene rod with a bit of tub'n. I like to bend the rod cold then set it with a heat source.
  11. Those look familiar! Always good to see the short trackers. Don't fight the urge, just build.
  12. The best way to gain trust is to develop a relationship. Whether it is in person or on-line does not matter. It is just as we are doing here, having a conversation. I have already learned your grandparents are pretty good people! Let's not forget swap meets are a great place to fing those items we are looking for.
  13. Looks great JT, as always. Where do you find/get your small fittings?
  14. Trust may be given, but it best when earned. I have been burned by untrustworthy people, the trust I gave them was my own. It is always better to do business with those you know. IMO
  15. Thank you for the interest and comments on this project. It may be slow going, I plan on taking me time on this one.
  16. This will be an ongoing long term project. Starting with a Revell Special Edition 62 Impala. I started my quest for the proper parts last year when I found this picture on-line. The first thing I did was open the trunk and doors. I tried a couple of different front axle configurations, but I like the single leaf spring here. It's just different enough. The tires and rear wheels are parts box specials and the front wheels are from the Tweety Pie kit. I have a PE set and will be digging deep into the parts box for this one. I hope you enjoy it...
  17. Finally shot some primer on the body. I decided to go bumper-less out back and the rest of the body work is almost done, just some clean up and sanding now.
  18. Suddenly the ignore button has become my friend! Doug, please don't judge the forum by one Bad Apple! Keep us posted on your search...
  19. Build BOTH!
  20. That's what the work bench area is for!
  21. The man simply asked a modeling question! What the , is cross posting? His question has nothing to do with your link. Doug, your best bet would be to seek Tim Boyd! He is the model guru. I love your story and finding those old child hood kits can be a rewarding thing.
  22. This forum has a lot to offer for everyone!
  23. Looks good, Slim. Nice to see you posting.
  24. Very well done, nice clean build. I like it. These are great kits to build many short track cars from. I see you did not use the kit hubs, who's are those? They look like FRW.
  25. Being able to leap tall buildings, out run a bullet and wrestle trains for most of my life I was indestructible until that encounter with Kryptonite about three years ago. Ever since I have been sluggish and some what tired. Gravity has had an effect as well, I just feel heavier! This all seems to have happened after 49 yrs. of life on this planet.
