  1. Thanks guys, with a little decal solvent, patience and perseverance I think I may have saved the paint. Now the search is on. Johann you have a message.
  2. Disaster strikes! After applying my decals and clear coating, I let things dry for two days. But, as you can see when I pulled the tape for the second color the decal came with it! I thought the clear would prevent this and I was saving time, but now I have repairs to make. Oh well, I press on...
  3. Looks great Doc! Well done.
  4. Great build! I really like the 1:1 and your modeling is staying true to form. Will you try to capture the pin striping?
  5. Your comments are humbly received. I was able to get the first color on today, I would show it but it is just white. I really hate using white paint, so many things can go wrong, but I think it turned out pretty good. I'm working up the interior now, pix soon...
  6. I'm digg'n you DLM, Tommy. Very well done.
  7. Well done!
  8. Thanks guys. I hope to work on the interior next.
  9. Turned out most excellent John.
  10. Beeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuutiful!
  11. Pretty Sweet model, would be cool to remove the roof canvas. But I like!

    Thank you guys!
  13. Lots of cool stuff to see!
  14. Looking real nice Bernard. The color looks great with those white walls.
  15. Some assembly in progress. Modified exhaust. Aluminium tips. Testor's metalizer on headers and exhaust. As always, thanks for the comments and for looking.
  16. Good looking Rod, and thank the LORD you don't call it a Rat!
  17. I change mine often but this is it right now. Patiently awaiting spring!
  18. Work is slow this week, so I build. Mock up in primer, Mica Blue Frame and engine. I'm no John Teresi, but I'm liken the Alclad Chrome. I decided to go with the engine from the new R@t Roadster kit it looks good and fits the previously released frame with little modification. I did notice that the new cross members transmission mount is off center, this will be corrected by the use of the older piece. With the slight channel I modified the side engine covers slightly for a better fit. I'll be carrying the same color theme inside as well. I have a plan for the body paint but that is top secret! That's it for now, thanks for looking....
  19. Great looking model! I admire plane builders, it takes skill in several ares to make a plane properly. Nice job.
  20. Really nice!
  21. Very cool John, glad to see those headers all wrapped up in there too!
  22. Right you are, Jim! I'm thinking Surf, Mica Blue, White and an accent color from the decal. I'd like to keep the 302 but maybe add a street blower. Something manageable.
  23. I generally buy a kit based on an idea for the build. After that it's on to the next kit. Exception to that would be the Revell 32 Ford, 57 Chevy and the like. Because there are way to many idea's bouncing around in my head!
