  1. I have learned that the fendered car was built like that as a Modified. He most have cut the fendres off at a later date!
  2. He has done 90% of this one on his own, all of the assembly. I help with the paint, he finished it off. Modified the fenders to fit the rear tires (from a Dirt Track Car) and kit bashed the rims. Just a few more things to finish up. He is also try his hand at pastel weathering, mostly in the bed and under side right now!
  3. I like it, nice mod!
  4. Great detail work, can't wait to see more!
  5. I'm not sure. Lancaster had a season where the rules stated the Mods had to run full fenders. Most guys hated that rule and fields droped until they change it back!
  6. Very nice I'll have to save that one... Here are acouple I found, just click...
  7. Thanks Ron, it has been fun. I'll be doing some more detailing and body work until the weather breaks some. I don't want to hurry the paint on this one. I also am doing The Falcon Modified! I purchased all the pieces, resin body, tires and wheels, donor kit and decals. I'll be doing later this year.
  8. Just changed things up to look like the 1:1....
  9. If you pour them they will buy!
  10. Cool Rat! Nicely done, ya gotta love those lil' Offy's.
  11. Thanks for the info, Mike. These cars were mainly from the western N.Y. area and they race in the mid to late 50's. I think in reality they where cut up jalopies. With most guys switching from Flatheads, to small blocks. Some of the ran the potent "Crossfire" flatties! The race cars were very light and dangerous to drive. Quite a few men lost thier lives in cars like these. You can see my finished version in "Underglass"
  12. Nice, I like the Gold paint.
  13. That is nice!
  14. NICE!
  15. Welcome back to modeling and to the forum!
  16. Great job! I like the black and white pic, it gives an authentic look. How did you do this one? Wait I just did with my camera, cool!
  17. Modeled after those crazy cars raced in upper east back in the late 50's. FRW wheels, Detail Modelers Supply hose and my junk box. Clickables
  18. This is it with some paint on it, rusted up a little. I be detailing it next. Thank you for looking...
  19. Here is a look at the Finn's car I will be doing this car in 1/8 scale this spring! The black car in the back ground is what inspired me for this build... From what I have learned these cars raced in New York state mostly, back in the fifties. At tracks like the Pines and Westboro. Very light for the day and very dangerous to drive... If your interrested there is a book by Lew Boyd called "Hot cars and Cool drivers" that tells the whole colorful story! Visit this Website There is great info and really good people there.
  20. This is what they called a Cutdown, back in the day... Narrowed frame, 1/4'rd body, scratch built roll bar and suspension parts and alot of parts box mix and match. It will be white and green.
  21. NICE!
  22. This is awsome, Raul. I love it! I have been looking at those resin motors few some time. I would really like to try one also. I want to put one in a Modified short tracker.
  23. This looks really nice! Why not put a quarter next to it and post a pic?
