  1. Looking good, Ira. Very innovative.
  2. Amazing vision and execution. That thing looks like it's rip'n through turn 4 already.
  3. After see'n some great DW style builds here, thought I'd try my hand at one... Started with an AMT 36 Ford, some FRW wheels, a little help from Ira and this is what I have, So Far! I'll be adding bumpers and nerf bars soon. Thanks for looking, J2
  4. The kit motor will work but the tranny had to go. This one is from from the 32 5 window kit. I also used the seat. Then added a new shelf. And the handles/cranks from the same kit. Some half round styrene... More to come, thank you for looking. J2
  5. Very well done, nice and clean the way they should be.
  6. Thanks guys. I have hinged the trunk and I'm gonna try a tilt hood next. Fir that reason I am leaning towards the kit motor. It should fit just fine, but will be a little higher due to the lowering of the body. I'm also thinking of leaving the roof open and doing a custom interior. Thanks again, James.
  7. I said the same thing, Then knew I had to build one!
  8. Inspired by an internet build, this will be a little different. Starting with an AMT/R2 33 Willy's won as a door prize at the Derby Shoot out this year. I removed the fenders first. I had to remove part of the interior to get the body down. Mock up with some big and little's from a 32 Ford. Modification to the frame, springs and a cobbled front axle from the part box. The styrene rod is temp. to add some strength for now. That's a FRW QC piece
  9. SWEET!
  10. This is all I have so far, I'll start a new thread as soon as I get a little more done...
  11. This is an inspiration, I have begun a DW Short Track 36 Ford because of you. Thanks for sharing, J2.
  12. Thank you for the kind words. I have just a little detail to do yet. Seems I always nearly finish a build, then put it up for a week or so, then look it over and finish it up. It helps me notice things I missed earlier. J2
  13. Outstanding! What is it sitting? Is that part of the build? Or just to keep it level?
  14. Very cool, I just started a DW style 36 Ford short Tracker myself, inspired by another build here on the forum. Your scratch building is very nice.
  15. Thank you kindly guys. This is a AMT B.W. Camaro body on a modified Firebird Match Racer Chassis also from Revell. Most of the cage is scratch built along with the manifold. The rest of the engine and drive train is kit stuff. Just adding detail here and there for a better look. The paint is Tamiya Matt Black with Clear Red stripes. The chassis is Gun Metal. These are kit wheels but I used Sprint car rear tires sanded slightly. BMF and water color black wash finish it off. J2 My bad
  16. Thanks for looking

  19. Yes it could be the seller's resin, ask her to replace it. If she is a good one she will. See link below. http://www.modelcars...showtopic=50672
  20. Purdy
  21. Has anyone seen my glue?

  22. Thanks guys, it's a great kit to build.
