Revell BW chassis, AMT body and interior. lots of scratch pieces and lots of polish'n.
  5. How many model forums do you post on? How much time do you spend checking your post? I am a member on five sites, Mod on one. I have decided some thing has to give. If I quit three forums I could get a lot more building done. Any thoughts?

This is the second of the three I'm doing. The front axle is just a piece of .100" styrene tube or rod. I have used both. The springs are re-arched parts box pieces. This is a link to the 57 WIP, I hope it works. Thanks. My link

Thanks guys. The vinyl roof was done with Tamiya Mat Black and before it dried I splattered some Semi Gloss at it from about 10" away. Up close it as a little texture to it and even gives off two shines, kind of like the real deal.

My link Here is the file for the build. This started as the Black Widow Kit. Early Modified Sort Tracker Engine block wit FRW V-covers, Oil Pan, Manny and Injectors. Front axle is scratch built with 55 Chevy truck leaf springs, 32 ford five window wheels and B.W. tires. Rea rend is from the same truck kit with B.W. leaf springs, parts box ladder bars, Don Garlits Dragster wheels And tires from parts box. The flopper is hinged on two pieces of alum. tube with a piece of styrene rod for the pin. I did this because the kit body had some real bad mold lines that required some serious work. I had hope to hide the problems, which I think I did! But made for a much more interesting model also. The headers are scratch built from styrene also. Body paint is Tamiya rattle cans, Mica Red and Champaign Gold. With BMF. I used Tamiya weathering kits and The Detailer washes also. This was a great build, lots of fun and I have a 55 and a 56 to complete the set. Thanks for looking. If you would like to see the WIP pictures you can PM me and I will send you the link. It's on another model forum and would not be nice to post it here.

  22. Thanks guys. This is a great kit, I had a lot of fun building it.
  23. I took the morning and completed the Nova. I really like this kit! Fit and finish is right on. Mostly out of box except for some FRW Parts, Parks Parts and a little scratch building. Color is Tamiya Gun Metal, weathered with chaulk and Detailers Wash. Thanks for looking, comments welcome. PS I did add a driveshaft hoop!
