After quite a bit of fiddling and shimming, everything appears lever and sorta straight. Now I have to enlarge the radius of the front fender openings. -

However "making do" isn't so straightforward. It was a challenge to make the wheels tuck under the body. It took a few hub designs and some carving on the frame. Adding Meng nuts to the rear wheels -

A pefect example of the vagaries of old age. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why the exhaust overbend didn't line up with the rear axle and that the driveshaft was too short. Then I clued in.... I had lenghtened the frame. Sheesh. -

Added fuel and vacuum lines. My really thin copper tubing (transformer wire) seems to have disapeared so the vacuum line is out of scale. -

I think we are approaching a level stance, however, The real answer won't come until the wheels are on. I can make a set with an assortment of resin wheels and some tires from a monogram classic which are the right size.
