  1. Added a hoist and a worktable.Working on a mig welder.
  2. And it goes on.... Cut off the top of a plastic bottle to make the "cradle for the spare tire.
  3. Dumped it this morning. While it had congealed somewhat there was abviously something very wromg with it. Will have to start again.
  4. Working on the winch tower.
  5. watched several videos then started by making a clay bed and imbedding the transmission. Then mixed & poured the mold stuff. Supposed to cure in 16 hours. Now about 18 & still not gelled.
  6. X2. Absolutely captivating.
  7. Looks like my putting a GMC body & engine on a Paystar chassis isn't so far fetched after all.
  8. Love it. Went over your website. My feelings exactly, over the whole spectrum. Right down to this being a CLEAN hobby.Other than for the cutting may & the hands.
  9. In my case it is because of the effect they had on me as a kid in the 50's. I was fascinated by the B-61 the wholesale grocer who came to the general store in my village had. There were R & S Internationals all over the place because ther was only one local dealer, IH.He also sold cars, first Packards, then Stude, then AMC. I remember a red 57 or so GMC dump truck that looked exactly like the one I had in my sandbox. Somehow the old trucks still turn my crank while the new ones are like appliances to me.
  10. It sure does. thank you.
  11. Love it Gino. would you happen to have another shot of the back of the cab area showing all the lines clearly?
  12. Started fooling around with the rear fenders. used hex rod at the end to get an easy 45 degrees.
  13. It is a lot like yours..
  14. Decorated the tanks. Then started making some exhaust pipes out of solder & small plastic tubing (actually sucker sticks). Had to move the oil filter to the front. It looks like it'll clear everything.
  15. Marc, I got the winch at AITM. They also have the tower but I plan to scratchbuild mine.
  16. This. Mostly started models and lots of parts. Some better than my old glue bombs. Perfect material to restore mine and to provide a constantly changing scenery in the dios.
  17. Raised the compressor & generator & made new belts. Better fit. Easier to service too. Put some wheels on to determine the size of the fenders I'll scratch build. Winch is from AITM. Stole some round tanks from the Snap Pete.
  18. That was taken about 50 years ago. It is at least a 64 as we found out above by the windshield pillars, and in 68 the company went to a yellow/gold/ orange with white doors.
  19. Added axles. Removed the generator, compressor, and the pulleys to remove the belts. Relocated the generator. The compressor will need to be modified.
  20. Couldn't help it, had to try it in there. Looks like the generator & compressor will have to come up top as in the 3rd pic. That rad will likely be too tall. Can anyone guess the approximate wheelbase of this puppy. I think I may have to shorten the frame a bit.
  21. Great looking rig. I still have to learn this weathering.
  22. Did you make the two post hoist and the engine hoist from scratch?
