Incredible talent on replicating that psychadelic paint job by hand!!! You sir have an eye for detail and ice cold patience. Amazing job on the car. -
This ones Danube blue and is a replica of a real 1:1 L72 a friend owns in New Zealand.
-
This ones black and still needs engine work and interior.

This build inspired me to open my Dick Landy 440 car and start on it. It also made me reevaluate a couple of my 1/18 diecast Hemi Darts I have and also transporter Ideas I have had floating around. Thanks for the pics and inspiration. -
I like this build a ton, very nice engine idea and the body color is great.

The car I seen was a 68 Olds 442 just after they had come out. Car had mismatched fenders, misskng door handle, missing and cracked side markers, cracked glass, ripped seats, rust holes and everything. I seen many people turn their heads and noses up at the car when seen. The more I looked at the car the more I seen and understood what talent it took to remove a cast in side marker and drill mounting holes and such to make it appear there was a light there once. The rust holes made in the lower fenders and 1/4's plus around the rear window trim was great. The car was so cool but so cleverly done it stuck in my head for all these years.

That is very cool and creative. I seen my first weathered junker model at a show over 20 yrs ago and remember walking right by it thinking "Who brought this junker to a model show" but I kept going back by the same car and kept seeing more and more great well thought out details that were perfectly done and subtle as well.Gained a whole new respect for these type builds.

Great job!! Love the Ardun pieces. I would have staggered the tire sizes a little bit but that just me,the stance is perfect!!!
-
Nice work on the details.

Thanks alot,it will be a centerpiece of all my heavily modded diecast when done.

65/66 caps are the same cap except 65 has black ring around black bowtie and 66 has red ring around red bowtie. Both caps have black rings around the perimeter. 66 cap

I am a fan on the Biscaynes and Belairs especially because the roof lines and the door post/frames just make the car.
-
Thanks guys,Its been a slow project but is paying off especially when I see the paint and how well it laid down and wont get too much cut and polish. Still working on a powerplant so I can get a engine block and trans mounted and start the huge task of twin turbo plumbing.

Redlines

14" steel wheels were the standard with dig dish caps. Redlines and steelies will look great with the body color you chose.

Can yall tell Im a huge 65/66 Biscayne - Belair fan?
-
Great job on the build. Im doing a 65 Biscayne 1/18 diecast using a 65 Impala convertible from Hotwheels and the main body and chassis from the 66 Biscayne by Ertl.
