  1. should anyone think this is nearing completion here is a shot of the spures left(I've removed the optional parts) so these all still need to be attatched.
  2. Hi all well you must be getting bored by now (I know I am)
  3. Thanks for that mate. Hi all well its that time of year again, as little aside from the model got the decs up today I decided the technique I used on the dent in the tank of the Honda I would use it here aswell seems like sacralige, the chrome on the radiator grill is so exquisite. but would be out of place on this car, and the rust devils been about again
  4. does anyone know where I can get some decent pics of the dash in these as I want to weather it and cant find any decent pics, here is what I have at the moment.
  5. hi all here is tonights update, I realise the windscreen needs work but its my first effort at doing glass. does the bird poo look effective
  6. Hi all well I'm sure you must be getting bored of this by now (I know you're all so polite you wont say so) so I'll take advantage of your good nature and continue the onslaught.
  7. Hi all I was checking some of the pictures, one advantage of that is looking at pictures of things 2 and sometimes 3 times bigger than the actual thing you see faults you wouldnt see on the actual item, like for instance a lot of the flat areas of rust are, just that flat, no blistering and no reason to be rust coloured, so I,ve fixed that and dulled the doors and bodywork down and started blending panels and adding general grime (I must say I'm quite pleased with the results so far) if things carry on like this I think the finished thing will look quite realistic (of course having said that I will no probably go and ruin it) does anyone know how to dull down and dirty the windows and windscreen? all tip welcome.
  8. Hi all well after a disasterous reaction on the paintwork on this I've sorted it (will never be a great job but is ok as an old jalopy) did a bit more staining of the doors and the bodywork and added some rust effects to the black paintwork, still a long way to go on it but is starting to look better now.
  9. Can't wait till after Christmas as it's supposed to be a present (pretty poor present)
  10. Hi all well since the citroen is now probably bin fodder I thought I better get on with this (plus christmas is round the corner) (actually I think I ought to give up modelling, I'm obviously BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH at it) I know the canvas bit looks as though it dosn't fit but when taped in it all fits makes no difference anyway I'm getting fed up of always ruining models.
  11. Hi all well started with some colour, you may notice not the colour I originally stated as I've given up on Citroen giving me the code (so now of course I will have to change the carpet colour :mad:) anyhoo here is the start of the rusting (lots more work to be done on it, but I think its a good starting point)
  12. blimy you've done a lot since I last looked in, wow, personally I think this is an amazing kit, you're reminding me of how much I enjoyed it, a word of warning do not attempt to turn it over with the wheels,it puts a lot of strain on the crank and will end up with the crank pinging off and having to find all the parts and fix thdm, only turn it over with the flywheel.
  13. Test fit of the doors. the doors have working hinges and door handles (Yep they have working latches)
  14. Hi all been adding some of the many wires and cables to the engine bay.
  15. Already broke mine now fixed steering had to glue it in place.
  16. Hi all here is tonights update (sorry if you're getting bored of this but its a mahoosive project, I don't think I'm half way through it yet) although I have to say I'm really enjoying it, I'm already planning what I'm going to do with the next one.
  17. Hi all lots done on this, although it dosn't look like it (mostly taking apart what I did before and repainting in new colours, think I've sorted the body paintwork out.
  18. Hi all a small update on this one, filled the little hollows on the body and did a bit more weathering of the seats.
  19. hi all this is fighting me all the way, I bought some barrier coat and sprayed it with that then gave it a coat of gloss white and its reacted with the barrier coat, you cant really see from the pics but there are little wrinkles in the paint so Im hoping sanding back where the wrinkles are down to bare plastic and re spraying will solve it.
  20. Hi all well I've added the rubber piping that goes between the wings and the body and I've started the front seats (see if this works before I do the rear ones) I'm going to try the marbelling effect I used on the Kwak Z1 a while ago only not going to have so much of it, so this is just the base colour which would show through from the cracked vynle (how do you spell vynel vynal ????)
  21. Hi all well I've sorted the air intake problem and started filling and sanding the rear of the car, I would like to prime it so I can see what further filling and sanding will be needed but till Citroen France get back to me with either the colour code or the paint itself, I've no idea what primer to use, I don't want to prime it then have it all react with the top coat.
