Hi all this is my first dabble in at least 5 yrs, not great but I forgot how fun it is, and so much easier than modeling, a pencil and a bit of paper, I have so little time for modeling these days and I think this will help with the frustration.

Hi all well this must be jinxed I went to get an hour in tonight and have had a catastrophe, now I've got several hours of remedial work, it's now back in the outhouse while I calm down.

Thanks tbh I've no idea, I know nothing about planes and am pretty bad at building them, this was in the local library for a year, they then asked if I wanted it back as they needed the room (I read that as no one is interested in it) so that's how I got it back.

Hi all well due to shortage of space I've reduced her from this to this I will be using the fw190 in another dio, I was going to rewire the lighting on this but since my next instalment of this will be as a sunken wreck couldnt see the point.

Gettin there still got the grass and trees to do but I quite like the concept, in spite of my poor execution of it .

I've finished the merry go round, I've messed up some of the windows (cant seem to get them to fit very well I've seen other builds and the windows look fine so it must be me) the missus is out tomorrow so hoping to finish it tomorrow (unless of course there is a bit list of to do items)

Hi all here is the next update on this. Made a little jig for putting the tie down rings in the same place every time. yes I know I've missed some painting on the front of the decks but will sort that soon.

Hi all well I managed to get some done on this today but I recon its all I will get for the next week. need to to a bit more work on the merry go round but I think it will work.

No she was built at the transition between bronze and iron, there is some debate as to weather she had bronze or iron cannons I am going to weather them as bronze but iron looks similar when weathered anyway

Hi all here is the next update, I wanted to add some detail to the cannons which can be seen so, after a great suggestion from a member elsewhere on how to make them I made some eyelets for the tie down ropes.

Hi all here is the next update on this Baring in mind these are almost Identical scales (the thermop is 1/96 and the soliel is 1/100) I still cant believe how much heavier and bulkier and cumbersom the soliel was (I mean I know she had to be able to withstand cannon fire and such) but she must have been sooooooo slooooowwwww
